They suck. Pollen from hell. Somewhat dirty and above all they are always dropping limbs or falling over. They seem to prefer dropping them on property.
I hate them. Also, I have one in my yard. Also, I’m too lazy to cut it down and plant something else.

Interesting they gave Joe a choice. I can see why he'd choose them since Dak is always hurt and Jerry likes outgoing guys.

This from my neck of the woods. I live about 6 miles north. Looks like a bomb went off!

That is terrible, makes my heart drop. Its hard to fathom that people deny that the Climate is and or has changed. I'm not here to argue this or that in the face of tragedy. No thanks. People have lost their lives, homes, pets.

If we're in a cyclical pattern or things have changed for good. Its time to be forward thinking. Tennessee, all of it, is no longer safe from disasters, biblical floods, winds, tornados, fires.

Shelters, first responders, weather warningn systems. Peace be with all those affected.

They are stinky trash trees with weak wood that is easily damaged and susceptible to pests and disease.

My parents, both deceased, gave my wife and I one as a gift when we moved into our new house. All the things you've mentioned are true and I've carried the chainsaw out to cut it down several times and I couldn't do it. Sentimental tree. I remember my daughter as a toddler having picnics under it.

You must have been their least favorite child. They gave more pleasant and enjoyable trees to your siblings.

We had some at an office complex I worked at long ago. The blossoms were really nice in the spring. I didn't have to maintain them. I think @SoilVol doesn't like them because they're not native to the area, but not sure.

They were the thing then. Everyone had them. They also gave a flowering cherry which died within a few months.

Mine hasn't been that much trouble. I've had to trim it a few times but it was a beautiful tree - still not bad.

I'm not complaining at all....... But how in the hell did more people not die from that particular tornado? If you asked me to guess from looking at that damage, 10+ would have been my answer.

Horrible!
