Vols scrambling trying to double team and force turnovers didn’t work. Credit Houston for knocking 3 down when they needed to. Could have cut it to 8 or 9 but just couldn’t get over the hump. Disastrous first half just killed us.

Historical looking probably a diff coach. No disrespect he’s made us a very respectable bball program but we don’t have a killer instinct and his teams don’t always shoot the best. How do you come out flat with a ff on the liner. No excuses.

They’ve gave us a few make up calls. We can’t shoot a free throw….or from anywhere

Cold shooting will make a game look like that. Houston’s defense is legit, but we had plenty of open looks we just missed and several free throws. I’m not convinced Houston is that much better. I still think we are evenly matched. Just not our day.

They’re not 17 points better than us, but they are better than us. They shoot 40% from 3 as a team which never gets talked about because of how suffocating they are on defense.

Alabama had same issue, tons of teams fall apart like this.

Yeah, I was hoping we could have pulled some John Ward retiring magic with football and have Bob retire with basketball winning it all.
