I think Waltz should be fired, and probably Hegseth too. and anyone else who put top secret, or active war intel, on there.

I wouldn't stop with firing. they should probably face trials too.

the rest who were on there, and just participated need to have the security clearances revoked and sit through some not fun seminars on maintaining security.

Considering its actively emerging story I doubt anyone is all that up to speed on matters to speak directly on what is going to happen to who.

got to think Trump wasn't on that just because of the technological aspects.

yeah, it SHOULD decimate the admin.

the only reason some won't face trials is if they didn't actively post something classified, and they are the party in charge.

although I don't know how pretty much any of them could do their jobs without security clearances.

They all know Signal is not an authorized app for that type of info. Imo at a minimum Waltz and Hegseth should be gone

What? Not only was Hillary storing and transmitting classified on devices from here house in violation of law, she was doing so to cover up her crimes.... in addition she attempted to cover up her crimes as they relate to the classified materially being stored at her house. They'll have to investigate this as well (if it was classified or even op sec info), but no Hillary's situation was never ever a nothing burger. Jez you can't be serious.

They intentionally used an unsecure app to discuss highly classified war planning. If it wasn't intentional, bc they didn't know better, then they should be fired for gross incompetence.

I had never before heard of the Signal App. Obviously it has apparently not been authorized for high level government use for classified info. However, Signal apparently does employ end-to-end encryption. So as long as somebody doesn't invite sone extra unauthorized person to the chat group, the communications should be completely secure.

When you further add how relentless Pete Hegseth was in his criticism of Hillary Clinton on Fox News in 2016, it becomes even more comical. Finally, when you consider that this wasn't sent to a Trump-friendly source, who might have buried it .... but to the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, which is a very liberal political site .... the stupidity of the whole thing comes into focus. Can you scream, "Call me a dumb hypocrite a little louder, Pete?' I don't think they heard you in California.

When I was in everything like that had to go through a secure server like SIPRNET (been awhile so I may have misspelled it).

Now though, I wouldn’t be shocked if their blackberries (I’m old, that’s what they used to use), are certified for a higher level of classification (possible).

Either way, I agree it’s concerning

Signal uses end-to-end encryption. It is not an unsecured app. It's not authorized, but it isn't unsecured. There is a difference.
