Ole Miss is built on defense and rebounding. I think that translates better to the tournament than Mizzou’s style of play. Not suprised. In last month UNC lit up top 10 in metrics. Ole Miss is just too inconsistent too. Most of the lower middle half of SEC was inconsisent. Capable of winning, but not consistently. Is anyone here surprised Texas blew a double digit lead or Mizzou didn't show up? Or that UGA was flat footed for too long and lost.
Agreed on Igor. Did he drive once yesterday for a basket? All shots from the three? He's had some huge rebounding games and we need more of that. Yesterday only offense as well, on Lanier stands out to me. But, win and andvance. This year we've legit beaten 2 of the teams with the best odds to win. This is the only year under Barnes where I didn't have doubts IF we could win it all. That is a different stance than we will win it all.
There is also no Flagg or Edey in our region that I think poses an impossible matchup for us to make a final four. A player that we can't scheme past. There are always teams and players in March that can take us out but I see none that absolutely will even if we play well.
My stance is Igor HAS to play better for us to make it to final four and beyond. He has to play more confident and he has to stop picking up dumb fouls. We HAVE to rebound better as a team, but IMO that starts with him. We beat a decent Wofford team not rebounding well, but that won't fly as we progress. If Igor can't then Phillips has to take some big steps in this post season to fill his full shoes. Making shots and spreading the floor.
The Lanier offense doesn't bother me because we've had ZZ and Gainey step up when the others faltered. Gainey was a monster against UF. Was a losing effort, but speaks to the team moving past that stand and watch Knecht (Lanier now) mindset we watched happen last year. Offensively and gaurd wise I am 100% confident we match up with the best. Rebounding and post play i am like 60% confident and 100% certain we need to improve.Agreed on Igor. Did he drive once yesterday for a basket? All shots from the three? He's had some huge rebounding games and we need more of that. Yesterday only offense as well, on Lanier stands out to me. So a few weeks ago, one of my daughters had the flu but was on the tail end of it. My wife had started feeling bad so we figured she had caught it. My daughter came into our bathroom to ask a question and started feeling light headed. My wife caught her as she was beginning to faint and got her lowered onto the toilet in the WC. As she was doing that though, she was frantically saying her name trying to keep her conscious and alert. The demon that possesses our cat decided to take that moment to lose her ever loving mind and began attacking my wife and daughter's legs. My wife started screaming and tried to push the cat out of the room and the cat tore into her hand and left three good deep gashes in her palm. So she got the cat out of the room and got the door shut and started screaming for me. When I got back there, the cat was sitting calmly. When my wife told me the cat had attacked them I reached down to pick her up and she made like she wanted to attack me too. So using my handy dandy crocskitten killer iyam

There was blood all of the floor, walls, them.... It was awful. Anyway....got my daughter laid down on the bed, elevated her feet, ice pack, and some water. My youngest sat with her while I attended to my wife's wounds on her hands and legs. When we finally let the cat out of the closet, she acted like nothing had happened and hasn't done anything like that since. We do keep an eye on her all the time now though. We cannot understand what possibly caused her to do that. It was a truly crazy morning.
So yeah...

Cats can’t be trusted. Evil. Natural born killers. It probably sensed weakness and couldn’t help but attack. You know that look they get in their eyes. OH, cats can always 'go off' at a moments notice. I've had several incidents (blood dripping down face). Now..'Then I got my wife and daughter out of the WC. '...WC? Water Closet? Do we use that term around here?So a few weeks ago, one of my daughters had the flu but was on the tail end of it. My wife had started feeling bad so we figured she had caught it.
