The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Had to be done. Now cut Murray, Key (post June 1 designation), Hooker, and maybe NPF (but I'm ok keeping him around as experienced depth). Do all that, and according to OverTheCap.com, we will have over 85 million in free cap space.

I think they probably signaled their plans with the Landry release. Trading back, probably Giants, could be later for more picks.

Unless you have star players that are getting big contracts and/or you are signing big FA deals, the cap purge isn't all that helpful. You have to replace the players. Drafting works but you have to nail it. Maybe they have a brilliant plan and I just don't see it. The pats have over 100 mil in cap space and they stink and will stink for a few more years.

I'd love to trade back to 3 with the Giants...........and even maybe trade back again..........stockpile picks.

Same here. It seems to be the ideal year to do it with the roster needs they have. Conditioned on signing a transition QB of course.

If available, I think now is when you open the pursestrings and sign a good vet LT and move Latham to RT where he belongs. Then all you need for a solid starting five is a RG and good back-ups. Quicker path to O-line success, which helps both the QB and RB's.

Well, we signed one. Not sure if he's good, though.

Free agent left tackle Dan Moore Jr. agreed Monday on a four-year, $82 million deal with the Tennessee Titans, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
sheesh. Talk about an overpay. Definitely not excited about this signing in the least, but I guess there are worse tackles out there……

We will see, but it is an obvious move to make. You can always bring Latham back to the left side if needed. I hope it works out because it solves two of the three probablem areas on the O-line. Now handle the RG and draft well.

Tackle free agent market is crap this year. You desperately needed a tackle. Him and Latham should be passable at tackles. Will be an improvement over last yr. It's an overpay but pretty much any starting tackle would be an overpay in this FA class....

Still need another guard.
