Interesting to read about the team trying some pistol formations. Hopefully UT still tries to out-tempo other teams.

I have always wondered why we never ran the pistol. Peyton ran it a lot in Denver. I always thought it was a really good formation.

I don’t get this. Oats is one of the best coaches in the nation. He would be a fantastic successor to Barnes. Is it just because he coached at Bama?

Regardless of whether you believe Oates addressed it well or poorly, the Brandon Miller / Darius Miles situation was enough to scare plenty of people off. Too reminiscent of the poisonous situation Pearl had in the locker room when he was here between Ramar and Tyler. I wouldn’t want Oates here.

Wow. Setting us up to give us a 3 seed if we don’t make it past auburn in the sec tourney.

We will not be a 3. We are 25-6 in the strongest conference ever with top 5 in KP and NET. Committee doesn’t care about the AP.

Why would Oats want to leave Alabama for Tennessee then, in your mind? As I recall he didn't give Kentucky the time of day. He seems like he's in a good spot. A final four, multiple regular season and tournament titles, 1 seeds, etc. etc. I doubt money would be enough.

Danny White hired him to be HC at Buffalo. Exciting offense, analytics based. He’s exactly what DW looks for in the process.
