You say that but we are getting inside and scoring easily against these guys but then we don’t do it for several possessions in a row, jacking 3s instead. Some are good 3s but there’s a lot of bad shots mixed in too.

What an odd half. UT has little depth, yet our bench outscores our starters. Losing to the worst team in the league, at home for the seniors playing their last game would be pretty embarrassing. Hope we wake up in the 2nd half.

What I mean is that we have no set plays to go inside other than a penetrate and lob dunk. Felix is limited to post and I’m still trying to understand Igor’s role.

As a season ticket holder, I admit it does get quiet sometimes. It’s hard to get excited when you go through these 5-6 minute scoring droughts. Do you really think you would be up screaming?

What I don’t understand about fans in attendance is that is absolutely when you should get loud!

Lanier is a no show for large stretches in almost every game he plays so how is this surprising?

I’m sure there are emotions about seniors playing in their final home game, but a senior SHOULD mean experienced and able to focus.
I hope Barnes rips them a new one and he might want to look in the mirror during halftime.

Lanier has only shot the ball 4 times. 4 times!! I like the dude and he has been a good player for us ...but he could be so much more if he was more aggressive and didn't settle for 3's all the time. That's what sets Knecht apart from Lanier...DK was/is aggressive and looked to drive the ball and attack a defense. Lanier does not do that.

Barnes went to the half with 3 time outs.
He needs to use them up during those runs by the other team. Take a time out and stop the momentum.

Would you put money on them making it out of the first weekend? I wouldn’t. Barnes tournament record speaks for itself and it isn’t good

Lanier just doesn't work hard to get open. Igor is not quick on his feet. They love to just stand around and then jack up a three because the shot clock is running out. Not sure what offensive schemes Barnes has learned. And unfortunately our defense seems to have regressed. I am looking for a positive and can't find one right now. I believe could be an early exit in the NCAA tourney.

I would argue the defense is what we should be upset about. 34 points in a half against a Top 50 defense is not great, but it’s not terrible. This is the 118th ranked offense though, and we gave them a TON of open shots and didn’t rebound well.
