One thing I am really confident in saying is that Mia Pauldo will play more point guard than anyone else next season. The best passer and shooter potentially that we've ever had at that position and Lawson and couple others were really good players. As for Boyd yes she has a bright future needs to upgrade her offensive skills she has the speed to play exceptional defense.CKC has said repeatedly (today as well) that Boyd was the future of the program. Watch her pressers, including todays.

Everything Kim Caldwell said after SEC Tournament elimination to Vanderbilt
Transcript of what Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell said after falling to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament.tennessee.rivals.com
On what she's learned about Kaniya Boyd
She's the brightest part of our program right now. I've said it before, she's the future. She's out here having fun. She pushes. She plays hard. She's a dog. That's what we want in our program, we want dogs. I think she is the leader of that.
From what I have seen and heard Prawl is more like Whitehorn just a better shooter. Not really a three point star. Civil same more like Cooper gets in the passing lanes and gets to the rim.
From what I’ve seen so far they are nothing alike, Deniya is an elite shot maker that can create her own shot as well, big time competitor. These are traits I look for in a prospect. She doesn’t need to be a great 3pt shooter as long as she’s surrounded by shooters, she’s a player I’m not worried about. From what I have seen and heard Prawl is more like Whitehorn just a better shooter. Not really a three point star. Civil same more like Cooper gets in the passing lanes and gets to the rim. Hurst can shoot the three and at 6'3" would be a factor at the 3 or 4. The twins are exceptional three point shooters at least in high school. I think we need to pick up one three point shooter might need to be someboody willing to accept 15 minutes a game. Inside only Spearman and Latham are left we need to add two inside.
Both are mid range shooter Prawl is just a lot better. Both drive the basket. I know Ruby is going through a rough patch right now, but when she is on she is an excellent mid range shooter and get to the basket player. That is what Prawl does she is just somewhat more talented.Deniya Prawl is nothing like Ruby Whitehorn. Don’t know what you’ve seen or heard but that’s not even a comparison or a knock on either player. They have completely different styles of play.
Jaida Civil or Talaysia Cooper could play for any team in the SEC. I wouldn’t waste time worrying about their 3point percentages.
Your saying Ruby can't create her own shot. I know she has played ugly lately, but she was really great first half of the season. From what I’ve seen so far they are nothing alike, Deniya is an elite shot maker that can create her own shot as well, big time competitor. No I’m saying Deniya can create but also an elite shot maker, Ruby isn’t the same type of player to me, I don’t see her breaking anyone down and pulling up, she’s more of an in the paint player shot maker.Your saying Ruby can't create her own shot. For the last half of the season definitely right. First half she was doing alot of it. This last half she looks like she somewho lost all her skills. Anyone that has watched all the games remembers how great she was not only getting to the rim but hitting the pull up shot. She made two threes today which were the first two she has made in a month. No I’m saying Deniya can create but also an elite shot maker, Ruby isn’t the same type of player to me, I don’t see her breaking anyone down and pulling up, she’s more of an in the paint player shot maker.
We can disagree I see similar styles of play as to what they want to do when they have the ball.
Yes it looked like to me that they just rebounded better and didn't turn the ball over. I think that is what she is saying they figured out how to prevent turning it over. They did a great job of moving the ball to the the front court.Damn, I missed this post game interview. Ralph says they didn’t need to prep much for this second game with UT, they felt they knew exactly what they would do. Pretty bold statement from an opposing coach on National TV.

Here u go, look at the dribble pull ups and step backs of Prawl, but Ruby did regress for some reason, she’ll be better next year, but Prawl is an elite shot maker. For the last half of the season definitely right. Teams are collapsing on Whitethorn and Cooper, they know where there going. Whitehorn needs to start looking for the open player before she gets bottled up. Cooper finishes a lot better. Hopefully they all see what's happening and see how to defeat it. We had 3 or 4 playing the press that just don't fit. Only seen the press work the way it's intended on the backend about half dozen times a game. It will be better next year but still have to find post offense and defenders.Your saying Ruby can't create her own shot. I know she has played ugly lately, but she was really great first half of the season.
No need to argue the point we can different opinions like Ruby is 6 foot listed on ut and Prawl is 6'1 listed on hoopgurlz. If you don't think they play in a similar way having watched them both I do. Prawl's main move is to slash into the paint and hit the turnaround ten footer. Used to be Ruby's game as well just not lately. Agree that Prawl is the better passer and all around player. The main point is that neither are great three point shooters so that narrows down a lot what they do with the ball. They aren’t similar.
Prawl is lengthy and listed at 6’2 with a long wingspan. She’s a very efficient ball handler at her size. She moves really well and can play the 1-4 spots. Good passer, good finisher at the rim, and strong rebounder. Plays good defense out on the perimeter and can guard stretch forwards and post players defensively.
Ruby Whitehorn is a slasher at 5’11. She can create her own offense. Has good balance and quickness getting to the rim. Has a solid jumper in the mid-range. Thrives playing uptempo and with space to isolate one on one.
As I said, there’s no comparison and that’s not a knock on either player.

Look at the post by Dark Phoenix number two video and tell me that there is not a lot of similar shot taking.
Fairly simple post players maybe a three point specialst addition. It’s pretty plain to see where the improvement needs to come from next year for UT to climb up the SEC rankings. Offensively UT ranks among the best in the conference. Defensely they ranked near the bottom. That is where the adjustments should be made imo. I get that this system traditionally is willing to sacrifice defense in favor of offense, but the SEC is a defense first league, always has been.
