David Keith was born and raised in knoxville too....I used to work with him and We partied like rock stars many many times before he became a big star....Good guy....For those who don't know who he is, He was one of the stars of Officer and a gentleman, Firestarter etc etc...I believe he is now directing...He is known to be on the UT sidelines from time to time.

I think Lee Majors was/is a big UT fan. Took Johnny's name for his acting name, if I remember correctly.... I believe he grew up in KY...

IIRC he actually wore orange hightops in one of the broadcasts a few years ago (maybe when Holdsclaw was on there?)

He went to Riverside High in Chattanooga...Reggie White went to Howard...he never has had much good to say about Chattanooga....If he is a Vol fan its news to me.

Let's not argue about whether or not someone loves the vols. Everyone does! Look at all the gator and bama fans that troll this site. Just so they can feel closer to being a vol fan. They know it is only a matter of time before Saban has a bad hair day and moves on and Urban no longer has superman to back him up.

He was also in an episode of Law and Order SVU as a detective. There's a point when Chris Meloni goes over to his house and there's a Tennessee football helmet sitting in the window.

and he - like usher - have opened up to talking about being from chatt town for several years now. Samuel, I feel, has been saying he's from there for I think around the entire decade. Usher kept saying he was from atlanta till 3 or 4 years ago or so (he actually gave chattanooga props when performing on SNL a year or so back)

When they were growing up there, Chattanooga was pretty much a dump. Until i was 9 or 10, downtown Chattanooga was a place you didn't go without a police officer in sight. I am proud of how the city's leadership at the time fought back, brought in new businesses, and renovated the city. It's somewhat funny watching Knoxville try to recreate the same basic city development plan, even though it never reached the level of crapaciousness Chattanooga had sunk to.

I'm glad these guys are starting to be proud of their hometown. Now if they'd just get a better football team so the high schools didn't outsell UTC in their own stadium...

I remember reading that David Keith went to great lengths to get some kind of reference to Tennessee in his appearances. I have heard that the laces on his tennies were orange when he was swinging from a rope in "An Officer and a Gentleman".

Idk if Morgan is from Memphis, but he got in a bad wreck there and was at the Med (a big hospital there) a couple of months ago.

Sammy might have a house in Memphis. I know he went to a couple of Grizzlies games because I've seen him there with his own jersey. I think he was related to one of their players. Bobby Jackson maybe?
