I think this has been brought up before, but until WW1, the number of general officers within DC was limited by law. Still should be during peacetime.

There is truth to this. They cannot run out and buy hammers from ACE Hdwe. Some bureaucrat "designs" a hammer and 2000 hammers must be made to those specs. Tooling up costs money. Lots of money.

We’ve got a travel booking platform for my company. You get flagged if you don’t book the cheapest fare available. You are even forced to provide a reason you didn’t select the lowest fare.

I’m never ashamed to book over spirit and just put in the reason “sorry but I don’t fly Spirit.”

They're not cutting wasteful spending though. They're trying to offset a tax cut to corporations and the rich. Middle class will be left to foot the bill. Have you not done your taxes in the last 3-4 years?

That's the point, there are poor and middle class whites, BUT they vote against their best interest, every time. There are poor and middle class of every race. The difference is whites votes for people that cut programs that poor whites need. Conservatives campaign on immigration, abortion, and gun rights. None of those issues will help you put food on your table or a roof over your head. Most poor/middle class people live check to check, or 1 emergency away from being SOL. Javier that cuts grass for a living, or work in a poultry plant does not affect me. Those are things I won't do. Hatred makes people vote against their own interest. We live in a global society. We live in a multi-ethnic country. No matter what they say or tell the masses. We can't go back to 1970, 1960, 1920, 1830.
