Getting a 1 seed is nice, but it really doesn't make much difference against being a #2 seed. In fact, we may actually benefit more as a #2 since we may be more likely to get a draw closer to Knoxville. Goong out West as a #1 wouldn't be as advantageous.

Yeah I felt we could drop 2 games before tonight for the 1 seed, now the margin of error is slim. A&M, Ole Miss, and Bama are the tough ones remaining. Have to win 2 of 3 of those

It did matter. When you are on the road it makes a huge difference, especially in the last few minutes of the game. We worked hard to stay the course, regain the lead and put pressure on Kentucky. But it was at that time the refs kept calling fouls for Kentucky when we only had 2 fouls most the 2nd half.

Giving up 50% shooting for the game and having the 2nd lowest scoring half by an SEC team against Kentucky this year (worst is by SC) did it. Any semblance of defense and fair scoring wins this by 8. That's it.

What about tonight's game did you pin on Barnes? You know he can't shoot the ball for them, right?

His halftime adjustment on defense was great; started pressing outside the arch and leaving the middle wide open. It got us back into the game.

I watch other teams and it seems that scoring is not an issue, defense is. Defense is not an issue for us, but with us, we play great offensively one game, and then we absolutely suck the next. I do not understand the inconsistency.

I also do not understand Mashack. How do you get to this level of NCAA play and can't throw a stone into the ocean, standing on the rail of a boat, in the middle of the ocean.
