College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Something apparently happened four years ago during negotiations with Stephens that pissed off his wife, which killed the talks. With the Celtics now being owned by a private equity group, which doesn’t give Brad as much influence, and their oldest child attending Notre Dame, don’t be surprised if he reconsiders.
You either really love you some Chris Beard or you keep up with way more basketball than the average fan. I’m guessing the ladder.

Sorry, had to misspell that on purpose as you see that kind of stuff everywhere, although I don’t know that I’ve ever actually seen that mistake. Now lose vs loose? I’m convinced half this country doesn’t know which is correct.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. I’m talking about Brad Stephens.

Correct, I should’ve left out the word “now.” It’s coming. Not saying IU will get him, but they’ll make another run.
Interesting that this topic came up. The new administration is considering making tax changes to sports teams, which will affect their valuation. As it stands now, sports team owners can use their teams as tax pass-throughs for their other businesses.

IU fans have been delusional for years thinking Brad Stevens is just going to leave his Celtics job and run to Gloomington. it's not going to happen........I went to school with several that are related to Dusty May since he's from my area and they said he's interested but doesn't wanna spurn Michigan after one year. Chris Beard makes sense honestly, interestingly the hot name around here is our buddy Pearl.
Pearl is always the hot name for an Indiana vacancy, or rumored vacancy. Can't see him leaving Auburn at his age, now. Not unless they do something like guarantee Steven F'n Pearl a head coach in waiting type of deal.

I don’t think Pearl is even a remote possibility. If I were to put a wager on it, I’d say it will be one of these four:

Stephens
May
Beard
Alford

Hoping Florida plays Auburn tough at their place today. Want to see if the drubbing from you guys has them willing to get bruised up underneath.

FWIW, I think they could beat Auburn at home. I'd have them a little higher as far as the tournament if they hadn't lost to UCF and Oregon.
That Texas loss they had confirms to me that the neither of those out of conference games to not so great teams were necessarily flukes.
Not to mention handled pretty good by Kentucky.
Good team, but not final 4 good IMO.
Their game with Missouri tmmrw afternoon should tell us a lot more about them.
Oregon is a good team when they’re dialed in, they’ve just been wildly inconsistent. Look what they’re doing to Michigan State. They’ve also beaten Alabama and Maryland.

Laziest player in NCAA !
No doubt. If we play them in the tournament, I wish our game plan would be to be on him like a rash. No help, just chin to chin. He’d be useless, and they’d be forced to go to quicker slashers.
And I do get that is very hard to do 100%, but if any team is built to do it…

I’m going to say Auburn 82 UF 69. I don’t think it’ll be a total blowout but I don’t see it as single digits either. I hope I’m wrong. As much as it pains me, I’m rooting for you all, I guess. Then again, you are competition for a 1 and Auburn really isn’t as they’re going to be a 1. Maybe I need to rethink my decision.

I just did. Michigan State won by 12.
Oregon is 16-8 and probably not even final 4 good in their own conference, let alone Tournament wise. More eye opening tho in regards to A & M was that UCF loss.
UCF is not a good team this year.
We were talking final 4 good, btw.
Texas A and M is good don't get me wrong, but I don't think final 4 good.
We'll see though. Let's see how they stack up against Missouri. That game is on now, btw.

Yeah, I’m quite curious to see how that shakes out. Auburn and UF too. Both will us more about A&M and UF.

I haven’t watch A&M this year but my goodness they look really good so far against Mizzou. Tough D and strong rebounders.
