Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2026-27

You forgot ignorant. P.S.-playing our friends in the Big East ain’t hurt us none. See ya’ in a couple weeks.
You sure about that? Been awhile now since the mountain top was reached. I think it’s 4 or 5 straight losses to SC now btw. Fixin to be another soon enough. But thx anyway nan.

UCONN is almost a decade without a title and when Geno retires doubt they will again.
Oh man, when Geno retires its lights out for them 33. They don’t have the resources (money) to stay around long afterwards. Probably CD is waiting for the helm, what a thing that would be. Small matter, whomever they choose will be a far cry from GA, and with all of their financial disadvantages they will fade into oblivion. But hey, they love that Big East stuff. There is always that, and who knows, the BE might even get two teams into the tourney Like the Ivey league this year.

Come on guys. We're turning into the Boneyard. Personally , I don't consider much related to UCon worth writing about.
Splendid point and received. Now if we can get Nan off this thread we can move on, as is needed I might add. Don’t be confused, blueconn=nan, Finkle is Einhorn.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that CD is going to walk out into that glorious retirement sunset with Auriemma when he decides to pack it in. I don't think she wants to be a head coach as she would have pursued it much earlier in her career. As for uconn falling into oblivion, isn't that what most teams experience? I mean way back when, UCONN was nothing until Geno arrived, South Carolina was nothing until Dawn arrived, LSU was nothing until Mulkey arrived and Tennessee was nothing until Pat arrived. And when Geno goes, yes, uconn will suck just as when Dawn goes, South Carolina will suck and when Mulkey goes, LSU will be back at the bottom of the barrel. Some teams will eventually claw their way back towards the top like Tennessee seems to be doing now and others unfortunately will never claw their way all the way back. Uconn doesn't choose to be in the Big east, however due through no fault of their own, that's where they ended up. And considering the lesser competition on the women's side, they've done pretty phenomenal the past 40 years. But yes, once Geno leaves, the party is over. But the party will be over for a lot of teams when their coaches leave. As for Geno's replacement, I always thought Shea Ralph would take the helm. However, given her success at Vandy and being in the SEC, I kinda doubt it now. So that's it, thanks for reading and yes, I am a UCONN fan but not a crazy, off the wall UCONN fan. I think South Carolina is the team to beat and I think Tennessee is going to be top 10 very soon. I do really hope UCONN stays somewhat relevant after Geno goes because there really is nothing better than a UCONN/Tennessee game. Btw, just a little trivia...there have been only 2 players on Tenneesse over the past 30-40 years that I couldn't stand...Several Randall and Kara Lawson! Believe it or not, once Lawson became an announcer, I loved her! Thought she was terrific! Go figure.

Sorry, Semeka Randall!
