The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I agree, though Daniel Jones is essentially a free agent I think. He will come dirt cheap.

I also think the Seahawks move on from Geno and he could be a solid option. Carson Wentz is still hanging around. Cooper Rush wasn't terrible for the Cowboys. Falcons will most certainly try to move on from Cousins

There are a lot of very capable bridge QBs available this off-season

If we wanted a cheap and very young QB who’s been shelved, Trey Nance would be my pick. He showed some flashes at 49ers but been quiet with Cowboys.

I'm officially out on AAS. If you're going to fire your GM you let GM pick his coach. Now you have pigeon holed yourself with candidates. Now you cannot cast a wide net. You can only get the guys that are comfortable signing on to a guy they may not have even selected.

Stupid move by AAS. I can no longer defend her leadership of the franchise.

Maybe she is going to let the new GM decide if he wants to keep Cally or move on?

The best candidate is pretty subjective. I'm sure no one thought the Lions GM was very good when he took over. Even more probably wanted him fired after he traded Stafford for Goff.

We need to get lucky at the QB position. That will fix most of what ails this franchise.

Some FA options: Darnold, Justin Fields, Daniel Jones, Flacco, Jameis, Cooper Rush, Dobbs,Zack Wilson, Trey Lance.
Pretty much just Justin Fields, Trey Lance, and Sam Darnold. No one else can play ball well enough to be a starter, yet here we are. I'd trust Daniel Jones to be MVP for the UFL, maybe.

He has ultimate say anyways, so why not?

Again the optics are terrible.

If Amy hires this guy, who is at least partially responsible for the failures of the former GM, read his list of responsibilities and what he attributed to himself in his bio.............. In other words, Amy was so worried and discouraged about the direction the franchise was headed, she hires the guy that was number 2, if not 1-B responsible for that direction???????? Make it make sense!

And after reading that release again why would any decent GM want to come in if he doesn't have any control of the single most important thing that determines his job security........ Again, please make this make sense!

Feel like Titans are ready to get serious especially with all the money them and the city are putting in for the new stadium. Hopefully we get a smart GM.
