The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Rough day ...... Just came inside from doing some work on the house...... What's happened to get us here?

Titans linebacker play is horrible today. Their defense getting their teeth kicked in right now

I mean, is there anything better than watching Will Levis struggle?
I'm not a Levis fan but when you're this far behind and have to pass it's easy for competent defenders.

The issue today hasn't been Levis, the defense is absolutely atrocious.

Barring a total collapse over the next 5 games or a career-ending injury, I think Levis gets 2025. Which is ideal for the team's future because picking a QB in this draft would suck.

Keep shoring up the OL and if Levis plays well in 2025, great. If not, our next QB should have a good situation to walk into.

Jerod Mayo ain’t gonna see year 2. You never want to be the guy who follows the legend - even if said legend was only a legend because he lucked into coaching a legend.

This is the way.

Levis is maddening. One play he looks like the real deal. The next play he looks like a mediocre high schooler.

He threw a great TD pass to NWI. Then he threw a crap 2 pt conversion pass low and inside to an open receiver. He gets it to his hot read nicely one play, the next play he stands like a statue and gets blasted. He scrambles out well on one play, the next play he refuses to step up in the pocket, gets arm hit and flutters a pass.

Let's keep doing this and see if he can actually get the O to score over 20 points in a game while building the rest of the roster. They are not going to win anything anyway.

My opinion, the bad play is no way all on Will, he has actually shown some improvement. Defense could not stop the run. And dumb penalties and dropped passes

Mayo will get to coach as long as the Maye experiment lasts.

I am ok with this. Also, it is looking like there will be a plethora of QBs available by either FA or trade should we decide Levis just aint the guy (spoilers: he isn't that guy).

Rodgers, Cousins, and Stafford all seem fairly likely to be traded or cut this off-season. They are well past their primes, but each one should be solid options in 2025. And you also have vets like Darnold, Geno, Minshew, Jones, Flacco, and Dalton that will all likely not be retained. I would prefer one of the first 3 guys, but I think we're more likely to go with someone like Flacco or Dalton.

Not sure why you would have confidence that Titans could orchestrate this when they had this exact chance in 2023 offseason and failed miserably at it.
