The OFISHAL OFISHAL OFISHAL Thanksgiving Thread

Best part of Thanksgiving dinner to me was always leftovers that night, I'm having mine now.

*probably regret it later

Got the cornbread made for the dressing, chocolate torte made, wife made the pumpkin pies and pumpkin muffins, cheese ball is done and in the fridge and the bird has been injected for its hot oil bath tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving morning! I’m done. My two dishes are made and ready for reheating. The rest of T-Day dinner is the responsibility of the daughter and son-in-law.

Cold salad? Post your recipe?
Salad:
5 cups fresh broccoli florets (about 2-4 crowns)
1 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup raisins or craisins
1 cup cheddar cheese (cubed, crumbles, or shredded)
1/4 cup red onion, chopped

Dressing:
1 cup mayo
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar (I've used red wine or apple cider vinegar as well, just what I have on hand)

Mix salad ingredients in a large bowl. Mix dressing ingredients in a small bowl. Add the dressing to the salad and toss to combine.

Sometimes I add chopped walnuts or sliced almonds if I have them.
