Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I think he did a pretty good job with the game, despite the play by play guy trying to bait him all the time.

I would’ve much preferred Tess and Jordan Rodgers as our crew than McDonough and McElroy.

I used to not like Jordan Rodgers as much, but I’ve warmed to him. He gives really good analysis.

They got 1...1..freaking title since 1980 for all of their stupid loudmouthed arrogant entitlement..and they wouldn't have that one if it wasn't for having the freakish Steve Young.

I hate em already.
That was Vince Young, Steve Young played for Brigham Young in the 80's.

Pat Forde said Tennessee got the #1 women's swimming recruit in 2026 committed too so literally everyone winning
Charlotte Crush is by far and away the top swimmer in the high school class of 2026.”

“As the Lady Vols had recently received verbal commitments from the top two breaststrokers in the class of 2026 (#3 Molly Sweeney and #13 Eliza Wallace), they now have the fastest swimmers in the cohort in all four of the 100 strokes.”

Don’t hate it.

Charlotte Crush sounds like a comic book alias.

Something in the Oklahoma game got Nico skiddish.. the hit in the Bama game woke him up
I think Venables just knew how to mess with a kid QB, and our OTs obliged..and others have followed that plan since.

Venables was right, it did make him skittish...and I think Arky coming out and doing something they haven't done before added to it.

It's just going to take time for him to recognize and understand what he is seeing...as he gets more and more experience, very little he sees will throw him off.

I'm glad to say I was good with the hire from day 1
I was too...I wasn't excited about it when I first heard about it, but instead of immediately freaking out, I did a lot of research into Heupel and watched a lot of UCF stuff and I thought we might have something after all....I thought if nothing else, we would get a fun offense to watch.

Just has to get some jitters out too I think.

Which was part of Milton's problem and remember he said he calmed down after he'd run the ball a little. We saw that with Nico.

So I like when we try to roll him out, give him an easy one and maybe need to let him have a little designed run to calm those nerves.

If he hits early against Kentucky I think it's on the rest of the year.

I still like how Heupel saw that our OL was not playing well, so he designed plays where the OL has to do literally almost nothing for the plays to work. . . they didnt even have to block much on them.

When he said we piped in crowd noise, his apology is worthless.
I thought that was the other idjit, the play by play guy who made up so many stories. Correct me if I'm wrong. '

No, Wait. That was the analyst on the Bama radio broadcast.

I liked the hire once I learned about the type of offense he runs and how he didn't have much falloff after taking over UCF (excluding covid year.) I liked the hire more when I looked closer and saw that his losses weren't blowouts most of the time.

I was just like you, excited to know we were gonna at least have a fun offense to watch. Was so tired of struggling to score 20 while other teams were dumping 40+ on us left and right.
