I love black churches. They are very festive and joyous. Great uplifting music.

When my wife and I were leaving our church of 20+ years, it was most important to us to find a church where we truly felt the Spirit at work.

When we found it, it was exactly what I was NOT looking for - lights off, rock 'n roll Jesus, casual attire and coffee cups/snacks, no liturgy. Music time, then speaker time. To me, it was more like a youth retreat than Sunday morning church. What it did have in it's favor, however, was the Spirit at work.

Some time after attending there, my eyes were opened to the fact that this was also the most integrated church I had ever been to. Racially, yes, but also socio-economically. Everyone from professionals to the homeless are in that place on a Sunday morning.

It is pretty amazing what can happen in a church that simply seeks Jesus first, last, and everywhere in between.

It is very close when it comes to percentage chance to win. It would be less than a 2 point spread if it were an NFL game...
