Yea I understand that is currently the case. I was more pointing out that it seems obscure when you watch it live and they both literally do the same thing but one player is kicked out of the game and the other is rewarded with 15 extra yards.

Ya it's dumb. I think the idea is to get helmet tackling out of the game. USUALLY runners aren't intending to spear the defender, they're just balling up around the ball to avoid fumbling when they lower their head like that.

But a defender is trying to use his helmet to make a tackle. I get it, but you're right it looks weird.

10. Iowa State (if they can win)

Penn State probably #2 as they are still undefeated also. I don't think they're as good as their record, but it probably still gets them #2.

something really needs to be done with officiating. the need to make them full time and hold them accountable. you see so many bad calls and calls that make no sense. and then you have like tonight they reverse a dpi call. its insane.
