The only way it’s used is to determine how quality a win is. OU goes 5-7, not a quality win. OU goes 8-4, quality win. Which doesn’t matter really. Vols go 10-2, would have to believe we’re in. 9-3 or worse, not in.

Had we lost to OU, different story on how that is viewed.

I got attacked by OU fans for saying Venables was bad for QBs and Hamilton was not the answer they thought he was going to be.

Tennessee fans knew... We knew.

The backup qb is rarely rarely the answer. Usually the 5* qb is struggling because the entire offense is bad.

This season will be very humbling for them. They’ll eventually bounce back but this is probably pretty shocking for them. Then you add on the success of Texas and I’m sure they’re hurting right now.

The slog of the SEC schedule. In the Big 12, you can play poorly in a game against a mid-level team and it's just a close game in the first half. The second half you come out and put them away.

In this conference, You get buried in the first half.
