Sounds like a Creepypastaā¦ā I officiated an Alabama game, there was a strange list of rulesā¦..āThe SEC office has apparently updated its rules this year.
All Vol fans are familiar with these rules:
1. Alabama never holds
2. Any official considering calling Bama for holding, should put the flag in his pocket and consult rule #1.
Apparently that rule can be changed to say:
No offense that Tennessee plays ever holds.

I have it on good authority that this image was included in SEC officials training as an example of a clean block. It was explained that itās a little hard to see from this angle and the blurriness of the still frame, but if you look closely, you can see the orange numbers, and as an official on the field you would have a clear view of the orange T on the helmet of the defender, which, by rule, renders this a clean block⦠and itās a judgment call based on down and distance, but if needed, the on-field official could even call this hands to the face on #9.The SEC office has apparently updated its rules this year.

He had a few, key word āfewā decent running plays. Thatās realistic. He had some decent plays versus UF. Let's be realistic here. He's obvs struggling with movement.
I think the coaches believe he is the best option and likely just out of shape. He had a few, key word āfewā decent running plays. Thatās realistic.
My point is How bad does he have to be before the backup is a better option?
:2 broke legs?
And what does that say about our depth, recruiting and development?
Used to run the fields at ETSU, for fun. I know that's surprising. It's good exercise.I think the coaches believe he is the best option and likely just out of shape.
I hope he has spent all week running suicide wind sprints on the football field in the morning, only taking a break to run the upper & lower bowl stairs in Neyland, before swimming across the Tennessee River and back til 2am.
lol, you moran. If Florida plays like they did against us, they beat UK. . . if they had Mertz. . . not sure if the backup will lag way behind Mertz's production though. UK always seems to have the gata's #, but I think UF does beat UK, making the Wildcats' trip to the playoffs a little tougher than they thought it would be.
I see what you did there. If Florida plays like they did against us, they beat UK. . . if they had Mertz. . . not sure if the backup will lag way behind Mertz's production though. Hope the coaches see this!! we say this all the time that they get paid millions and should see these things, but the game comes around and it seems like they donāt see the obvious or have a game plan to force them into their obvious weaknesses.I just watched every Bama offensive snap from the Georgia and South Carolina games. I know Tim Banks knows this, but defending Bama might not be as difficult as everyone seems to make it.
Force Milroe to the left. He doesn't like to run left (always keeps ball in right hand which could lead to fumbles). He isn't as accurate passing left. Most all passes left are short dump offs to TE or quick passes to flat. He does not throw deep to the left. If you force him left, we have a great chance to stymie offense.
Did I mention making him run left? He always runs the opposite direct of WR motion. He almost always looks to bounce it outside to his right while protecting the ball with his right hand.
He hardly throws any balls beyond 10 yards. 85% of his passes are 5 yards or less. His receivers get a LOT of YAC.
When he does throw the ball deep, it's to the right. When he throws beyond 10 yards and it isn't a bomb to the right, it's a crosser going left to right in the middle of the field.
Force him left with everything. We can win this game.
