This is probably the most cogent argument for voting for Trump that I have heard in this entire election cycle.
With the wings of each party controlling policy, perhaps a little national gridlock is what we need right now.
This poll says Kamala is up 5 pts nationally. That seems like a lot considering the poll also said:If Trump wins the popular vote.. Is he still a threat to democracy?
- Trump (54%) leads Harris (44%) among independents who are likely to vote, widening the 4-point edge Trump (50%) had against Harris (46%) previously.
The mischievous person in me would wait until after the election and during the lame duck session before the new Republican majority is seated, introduce a bill to eliminate the filibuster, and force the democrats to vote AGAINST what they have called for for yearsI'm sure they'll no longer support doing away with the filibuster
Looking at that Marist poll more carefully, the first thing that jumped out at me was that this poll said that Trump was up 10 pts with independents. That didn't seem to jive with a Kamala 5 pt lead overall. So I looked at the party affiliation of likely voters. They polled Democrats at a 7 point advantage, 40%-33%. In 2020 Dems had a one point advantage, 37%-36%. I doubt Dems will have anywhere near that sort of advantage given that the enthusiasm for Trump from Republicans is far greater than the Dem enthusiasm for Kamala. But I will say this, if Dems get a 7% advantage in turnout, yeah, they will definitely win. I just doubt that they can pull that off
I think this poll is great news for Trump. He lost independents by 13 pts to Biden. If he is anywhere near a 10 pt advantage among IND against Kamala, he's golden

Well, his party won enough seats then indeed is indeed a more correct statement. He was able tonforce Hindenburg to appoint him.He was appointed Chancelor, he never won an election.
