Any thoughts or theories on our offensive struggles being a road problem?
Yes. Nico being a 1st yr starter...will take time.

Looking forward to FL and Bama wins. Others can B&M to their heart's desire. I'll gladly sit back and watch us repeat something we've only done once in the last 25 years.

So you’re saying there’s a chance?

I’ll bring snacks, @TN-POSSUM will pick up the trash. You provide booze. @drvenner for halftime entertainment. Stand-up comedy dad jokes.

She doesn’t need to do a thing!
Wow

You're not really helping yourself earn that invite. No wonder @InVOLuntary don't want you there

Out of the loop and constantly too exhausted to research, so thanks to anyone that has it or can,

What is our tempo like this year compared to years past? Just from watching what little I have, it seems a bit less than 2021, 2022. Certainly less talk during the games about it. Just curious. Ty

I think we'd see it a lot more if we could get a few 1st downs quickly. . . doesn't help that our offense barely got the ball last game.

Tough to say with numbers. Plays per game is pretty much the same from 2022 2023 and 2024 so far.

But our defense is worlds better this year, so I think we're getting more possessions.

My eye tells me we're going as slow as last year and much slower than 2 years ago. With Hooker, we never snapped it under 15 seconds on the play clock it seemed like. This hear, it seems to be more often than not. But again, I can't find any numbers to verify that.

That sucks. Doesn't sound like I should watch it. Did the qb run affect our defense that much? We've been pretty good in recent years against it (as opposed to the 15 years prior).

I'm sure other poster is right...not getting 1st downs kills those opportunities. But also not sure Nico is quite ready to run it at warpspeed like a vet like HH was. He had played 38 games heading into 2022...Nico is an infant in comparison. The game hasn't slowed down for him and that's insanely reasonable, especially in the SEC.

At least not on the road. We went fast against Iowa I thought?

We should also remember the 2022 team was just as close to losing vs Pitt as this team was to vs Ark with 5 mins to go.

Variance, refs, and all...not the same outcome, but really no different from beginning to end. That team also needed a comeback and escaped with a 5 pt win vs Florida. Let's see how this Sat goes. Because that team, with a healthy QB1 (and not the defense of this year) was absolutely dangerous in a playoff.

This team, with a young QB, LT, etc will only get better as the season progresses.

15-1 🥳

I don't think we needed a comeback vs UF. They scored late and had a hail mary shot at the end though.
