Couple additional Variations. I figured, since the torso already forms a basic "T" shape, why not USE that to incorporate the Power T on the jersey. It will be exactly the same in the back. I think fans would like it, for the most part. It still has the classic color scheme...just a minor, but unique modification. Fitting change (no pun intended...or maybe so), me thinks, for a new staff. Not too crazy (like the black stuff), but still 21st century.

I realize there is a somewhat related thread regarding uniforms, but this is quite different in that it's not the much-maligned "What about Black Uniforms?" and such.

I'm a Graphic Designer by trade, and thought I'd take a shot of doing some mock ups of what I call the "Power T" jerseys...molding the "Power T" Logo with the jersey/ Upper Torso's natural T-shape. And I'd like to get some feedback to gauge whether or not to contact the AD and see if they might be interested in getting Adidas to make these.
I understand the need to maintain tradition, but I also would like to see our uniforms step into the 21st century. More and more teams are applying different designs to their uni's and I think some of them look better for it; some don't. Without trying to be as gimicky as Oregon, I figured a slight modification to the Jersey could still maintain a great deal of tradition, but with a subtle enhancement.
So, what do you ladies and gentlemen think?

Thats not too bad. You would probally have to go with the all white pants which means no stripe I like the stripe.. All in all no to bad.

Thanks. Here are some that I worked on based on the other thread...going from the black uni's to sticking with a more traditional look...including no stripes on the pants (always thought it looked cleaner without the stripes).

I like the concept, and these look really cool.

Can you make it more obvious by narrowing the vertical orange stripe down the middle, and creating the base of the power T at the bottom of the jersey? I recognize that this might require a slightly different size set of numbers.

The ones with the black piping look better IMHO.

Where did you get the E Berry Photo? I see the the name at the bottom, just don't know if you have to go through them or if they sell it on iPhoto or something?

I'm normally against any major uniform changes, but I think you nailed it. Not only is it subtle but there's a stylish reason behind the change (Power T shape). I think if there ever was to be any change your approach would be ideal.

those are pretty money, and I'm very much a proponent of sticking with tradition and not changing much, but again I like those ideas a lot.

I'll work on reversing the colors for road uni's. But it's more about the design concept. I figured if they got a good reception, then I could fine tune it and see about getting in touch with the staff/AD.

BTW, anyone with connections/contacts with the staff/AD, that might be able to expedite the process and help push this along, please PM me (may be too late for this year's uni's, but we'll see). I think if CLK and staff likes it, Adidas will do their best to accommodate his wishes.

great work, tennacious! This is the best idea I've heard, and the best creative implementation of that idea. Those uni's look great, bro. I think you're really onto something. I would email the ADept. over and over until you got some sort of response.

I am going to have to do some more experimenting with it, but for now, just having a large portion of the Power T gets it across. Trying to fit the base may not be do-able(had some difficulty initially, and sort of abandoned the effort)...we'll see, though.
