My sister and nephews (they go to NC state) are all attending the game as Pack fans......I am contemplating buying a orange and white funeral wreath and sending it to their home.

I'm tryin... Things are so expensive in Davidson...I wanna do it, and been looking around at shops but I don't wanna go broke.. Some of these places are asking 3-400 for a standing wreath. And it MUST be orange and white...... mums maybe.

It's kinda an inside joke when my parents moved into our childhood home, the neighbors put a Orange and White wreath on the mailbox after TN beat Tech (Dad's a ramblin wreck). He wasn't mad he just thought it was hilarious. Was also kinda an ice breaker. They're also the ones that kinda made me a TN VOL. Their son and I played together and as he was a year older I'd get hand me downs sometimes. (in the 70's nobody wasted nothin, and my parents were NOT too proud to take free kids clothes.) And so I wore alot of his TN gear when he outgrew them. I can't remember a time when I didn't have orange in my closet. We always played Football in his backyard, his brothers and sisters neighborhood kids etc. Reliving whatever TN game had played that weekend etc, pretending you were one of your favorite players. Those neighbors also had the thickest TN accents I have ever heard even growing up in in East TN. I pretty much decided I'd go to UT when I was 4 or 5. But the funeral wreath story lived in infamy. I dunno if my sister will be amused, but my nephews will lulz. We can just never ever lose to NC State ...ever, Or I'll be flooded in red stuff.

Former Oklahoma HC Bob Stoops gives Tennessee Vols HC Josh Heupel a massive compliment​


"Oh no question," said Stoops when asked if he thinks Heupel is one of the most important players to play for Oklahoma. "I said it in my book, The Making of a Head Coach, that we've had so many Heisman winners at quarterback, national award winners, NFL players through the years since I've been here. I just mean we may have had more talented guys, but I don't believe -- to me, he's the most valuable player of all of them. Because he was one of the true leaders to start it.

I know, good players don't automatically mean they'll be good coaches. I just thought some would be interested to read something about our corch while they were sitting on the turlet.

We coulda if we had our starters in the whole game. Some of yall were calling for back ups early in the 2nd quarter. Lol. I was like, yall wantin the back ups with more playin time than the starters?

If the Vols accumulate 50+ points in the first half while yielding only 14 points or less, I will not mind seeing backups during the second half. I’d be tickled pink if the backups scored on their first possession.
