Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

If they allow us to customize other parts of the watch, why not this, too? I've gotten used to it now, but liked the dark colors better.
I don't know but I like gboard for my default keyboard on the Samsung and that is one of the first things I do when I get a new one. For some reason the gboard won't work on reminders on the 6. I contacted Samsung about it and was told that's just one of those things that doesn't work because of something else and the something else is more important.

They fixed it on the Ultra and it worked on the 4 and 5.

My point? Who knows. Lulz.

I can't pinpoint to one thing, but the changes I made specifically for this reason are no carbonated drinks, eating breakfast before coffee and I replaced Metamucil with a prebiotic powder. Not sure if it was one thing 2 or 3 or none of those and something else, but here I am...

Ngaf but yesterday I was running and my ear Buds stopped working. I thought I was getting a call or text but nothing. I got my phone out to check Spotify and it wasn't playing. I started it again and kept running. A minute later it did the same thing. Wtft?? Checked the phone again and same thing. This happened 3 times then it was fine.

It wasn't until later ladt night it hit me. Lol.

I was singing along with a song from my 80's play list...my ear Buds thought I was saying stop music.

Can't. imagine what your electronics will do when you hit Frankie Goes to Hollywood! 😁

@volfanbill have you experienced this lately, or ever? Last 2 nights same thing. I'm at a loss. Tried everything Garmin suggested including a reset. Just did the reset this morning so I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if it worked.

I have not… but to/dr/ngaf two weekends ago I had to work an overnight 12 hour watch shift. Got off at 5:30am and thought it was funny there was no sleep recorded but I did get my morning update (even though I had spent the past 12 hours without the watch). Slept for four hours when I got home that was recorded as a nap

I think something happened the last two days though where the display was on constantly while I had it in my work storage locker because the battery drained out after just three days

I got an update recently, could have been Thursday, and I wasn't paying attention to see if it was a beta or an official update. Only reason it matters is if it was an official update then you got it too. That would somewhat explain your display being on and excessive drainage. Official or beta would explain my issue.

I'm betting it was an update issue for us both. Seems every time they update, something gets screwed up. They usually have it fixed same day though.

Those new watches coming out next week may have something to do with it.

Update: been fully charged for 25 hours with a 5 mile run/walk included. 91%

Just a note for smart watch wearers: never let a 2-year-old play with your watch while you’re wearing it and talking with visitors.

Took me nearly an hour to get the home display face back. 🤪

@volfanbill walking out the door to take it for it's first spin. Tweak my settings.

Ordered it Tuesday from Play it Again through Amazon and got it Wednesday.

I like the new watch face (top) but my favorite is the one I've used mostly on the 955 and 965 (bottom). It wasn't available Wednesday so I contacted the developer and he was working on it then, said he'd have by the afternoon. He did.

I'll tell you about it later and as always you'll have the choice to read it. Lulz.

Tl;dr;ngaft

I wanted to upgrade and wanted the Epix Gen 2 Pro 51mm. I looked to see if the 3 was coming out anytime soon and found out that the Epix line was being merged with Fenix and the Fenix 8 was to be released soon. After extensive research I found all the information I needed to make a decision. Lol. Only had about 16 different choices.

I wanted a 51mm, but after careful consideration I decided I could handle the diameter but not the weight and height. So I went with the 47mm.

The Fenix 8 was $100 more than the Epix Gen 2 pro, but the deal breaker on the Epix was the display.

The 965 has a 1.4 display and the Fenix 8 has a 1.4. The Epix has a 1.3. That's why I wanted a 51mm in the Epix because it has the 1.4 display. But 102g in weight and 15 mm in height compared to 73 and 13.7 respectively, was just too much.

The Fenix is like tge 965 as far as looks. Both have a thinner bezel and the 1.4 display. That small difference makes a huge difference.

It wasn't worth the difference in price to upgrade from the 965. Period.

That said, there were a few things I wanted that the 965 didn't have that the Epix 2 Pro did and the Fenix has all of that and more. Still not worth it if you're looking strictly at value.

That said, it was definitely worth the difference between the E2P. It has the Gen 5 sensor so they can upgrade the crap out of it through updates and apps. And of course the main thing, the display.

I did discover something cool During my search for information about the Fenix 8. It has a more advanced version of a function the 965 already has that I didn't know and would have been great to know.

Round trip mode. The new Samsung has something similar called Backtrack.

Round trip mode will be great on my trip in September to Ohio. It allows you to enter a distance you want to walk/run and it will calculate a route of that distance for you to follow.

So, not an out-and-back calculator specifically, but instead you enter 4.5 miles, and it generates a route that doesn’t end four blocks from home? Nice.

The biggest (matter to me) differences in it and the 965 are

-The Gen 5 sensor. ECG. Capable for more updates.
-Speaker and microphone.
-Dive certified. Makes me comfortable with getting it wet.
-The flashlight. It's just too cool.

I fell asleep not long after aTm-ND. Prolly 1145 at the latest. Woke up a little after 7. My watch however thinks I only slept from 2:42-6:33 though. Honestly think I slept good. Especially those three hours in the beginning that weren’t recorded.

Which watch? I know you had to get another one because they said you couldn't wear the 965, but I don't remember what you got or if you just wear it at work. Sorry, I just do remember.

Regardless of what deekface says, I'm old and getting older and my memory chip is full.
