Wasn't this a new coach this year? Very good record against FBS. Still, they level of talent they have is not comparable to Colorado's. Not even close, IMO.

First year AND first time Head Coach for ND State playing on the road too.

I'm not a hater of Deion, he's recruited some great talent. I think operating his team like a NFL one isn't going to work long term, but I still don't think he's planning to be in college long term anyway. I will say that until he embraces the running game and giving his defense a bit more rest they could be in for a long season. ND State shouldn't have even gotten the ball back last night.

Was a pretty entertaining game and the Hunter/Horn are both very good WRs. Hell even Sanders is a pretty impressive QB. Not sure if the OL is actually improved or not and the defense basically only showed up for a series or two. I will say I think it's pretty funny seeing Hayden get 9 touches and under 25 yards.

I guess targeting doesn't exist in a two minute drill. Colorado had a no-doubter targeting play that should've been reviewed, but because of the hurryup, they didn't.

Last nights NC State is a realization of how far we’ve come. Western Carolina almost “Georgia Stated” the Wolfpack. At this point, I’d say that it would take our whole team getting monkeypox for something like that to happen to the Vols.

Edit: Western Carolina is a better team than GA State was then.

The way NCSU finished their game is more important than the final score. They'll be better against us in Charlotte. They have very very solid pieces. McCall is a talented QB. Their RB really dominated towards the end of the game. Jolly is a playmaker. And their WR Concepcion is a baller. Our defense will certainly give them fits though.

Question is if their defense can contain us for 4 quarters and if Nico has the offense humming. Definitely need good reps tomorrow.

where is Colorado ranked?
Are they a championship contender this year?

I'm definitely not going to overreact to that game. Obviously N.C. State didn't play their best game last night and overlooked WCU somewhat. Every team should get better from game to game. I believe Tennessee defeats N.C.State but not like some are dreaming of. 10 to 14 point win not 30.

I honestly think that was the plan..... But if I'm a head coach there's no way I want Deion around my franchise.

Deion will leave Colorado in worse place than he found it. That's saying something.

I'm definitely not going to overreact to that game. Obviously N.C. State didn't play their best game last night and overlooked WCU somewhat. Every team should get better from game to game. I believe Tennessee defeats N.C.State but not like some are dreaming of. 10 to 14 point win not 30.

That OL was porous against WCU. I think we will handle business in the trenches and win by 28.

I agree. I think they were definitely looking ahead.

But they had to exert a lot more than they anticipated. And maybe their confidence took a hit. If we can jump on them early... May be able to get that 30 pt victory.

But that's a Western Carolina team that's best season under Bell is 7-4 I figured they'd have a good showing though being a big stage against an in state team. Not sure I feel worried less by NC State, I'm a bit happy they held on so our game will be a top 25 battle though.

The way they finished the game? You mean after Western Carolina got tired in the 4th quarter and blew two scoring chances? Are we talking about the same team that beat UTC by 2 points last year? While also finishing with a worse record and placing 4th in the southern conference standings while UTC finished 2nd?

I've seen teams play like crap then turn around and play like world beaters too many times to put any faith in them to play as poorly vs us. I'm just glad they started getting it going a little in the 4th, so we can see their tendencies and what they're trying to do offensively on the 2nd level.

I will say this, so far been a good opening to college football!

FSU gets upset, NC State and Colorado have to play for their lives. UNC vs Minnesota was a competitive game the whole night, sucks Johnson got hurt though.

And tomorrow is stacked with great matchups!
