Packaging recommended .5 tsp in morning coffee. That’s what I went with. I’m also 47. Run 3-4 days a week. I’ve been putting collagen protein powder in my coffee for about 6 months. I also changed my menu a couple of years ago - cutting out gluten and dairy - and started a vitamin/supplement regimen. A, K, C, and D in the morning - Magnesium and Zinc Glycinate at night.fp, what dosage are you using, if you dont mind me asking?
For someone 47 yrs old, in the gym 5 days a week and losing weight, what does the board suggest as far as dosage, MG, etc?
My dad and a friend from high school that I stay in contact both have issues where they are basically allergic to red meat after tick bite incidents. I enjoy red meat, but have a genetic predisposition toward high cholesterol. I choose to limit my cholesterol intake through moderation and as regular exercise as I can manage. Would love to lower my daily stress levels too, and am hoping that is possible in the near future. My point is, and I think it has been mentioned during this discussion, that every person is a little different. Some folks can eat all the red meat and dairy they want with minimal negative impacts. Others need to be more cautious. Each person needs to be aware of their own body and what works for them.Say it louder for the folks in the back

I go to a functional medicine doctor and a general practitioner. Feel better at 47 than I have in years.
My mom died at age 62 from cancer, and dad died earlier this year after fighting Dementia since his early 60s (not genetic). Mom also had rheumatoid arthritis. Doing everything I can to minimize inflammation.
That alpha gal from ticks is one my worst nightmares. My dad and a friend from high school that I stay in contact both have issues where they are basically allergic to red meat after tick bite incidents. This one. It is the extract. For some reason it settled a little at the end of my cup of coffee - kind of a Turkish coffee feel at the end, but @SSVol said he hasn’t had issues with dissolving. I didn’t dislike it - just a touch earthy at the end.Thank you so much, I appreciate it.
One more question...what kind did you get, brand(??)?
Palmetto, GA?View attachment 671157
I picked this sweet shirt up from shop.utsports.com back on the 17th. So far it has been to Philadelphia, Smyrna (on the 22nd), took a dip down to Atlanta, back up to Middle Tennessee, and I should finally get it today. All via UPS. I live in Middle TN.

Nothing wrong with whole mushroom, but the extract blends perfectly and is significantly more concentrated.Hmmm. I thought I bought what you posted yesterday. I’ll check when I’m back home.
My son got that about 4 years ago. We sent him to an allergy clinic that did acupuncture to reverse it. He got about 15 needles in his ear that he had to keep in for 3 weeks and now he can eat red meat again. That alpha gal from ticks is one my worst nightmares.
You're right though, almost everything boils down to genetics. The recommended guidelines are for the majority (or largest minority), but some people at lucky and can eat red meat 3 times a day with no cholesterol issues, others are unlucky and no matter how healthy their lifestyle is, they have high cholesterol and need meds. It's important to see where you are, but if you won't so that, following the guidelines is the next best thing.
You all made fun when I sent USPS updates. All shipments to Johnson City, first come to Johnson City regional dist center before being sent out to other hubs, like Knoxville, Alpharetta, Nashville, or Ohio for sorting, and routing to its final destination. This particular package was about 5 minutes away from us, at regional hub, so, it was logical for it to be sent to Knoxville, Atlanta, and back to Knoxville before being overnighted to JCView attachment 671157
