I think there are a huge pool of candidates in this forum that I think would do an exemplary job. Here are some suggestions for your consideration. jmo.

I highly recommend Devo. He seems to me like a real smart guy so we’d have smart game threads, at least in the OP portion. The write-ups may not have the quality humor Nick would often slide in but maybe we just haven’t seen that side of Devo’s wit yet. I do think he would be a good candidate. Seriously. jmo.

Another possible choice would be Weezer. Weezer is rightly regarded as VolNation’s most beloved poster so it would seem that he would be an obvious choice. The major benefit with Weezer doing the game threads would I think be that every thread would be an adventure. I think that would generate tons of interest and the mods could remove any nudes. Family site, you know. jmo.

My third and final suggestion is Glitch. I know, I know. His first time out it didn’t go so well but think about it, he’s got experience now. Experience is the best teacher. He’s probably already better. Besides, I think he’d really like to have the opportunity. That counts tons. jmo.

I was going to suggest Doc but I’m not sure how it would work if the game thread wasn’t posted until a month after the game was actually played. The threads would be so full of spoilers, I mean, no mystery about the outcomes. I just can’t see how that could work. jmo.

I’m going to tell you the truth. Glitch would be my first choice. Why? Because with Glitch It’s probably always going to be fun. I believe that. I really do. Plus as an added benefit if we lose every game this year no one will have to ask why? jmo.

Mocs also represents the Mockingbird..........

"Faced with politically sensitive issues and in need of a stronger core identity to help establish a strong brand as "Chattanooga's Team", the athletics department embarked on a comprehensive identity program in 1996. A new direction for the athletics identity was determined, moving away from the politically incorrect Native American Indian imagery.

Several identities have been used in the past. With the old nickname "Moccasins," a snake was used in the 1920s and an Indian was used until the year of major change in 1996. A moccasin shoe was even used in the 1980s.

In 1996, it was decided to adopt the State Bird of Tennessee, the Mockingbird, as the core of the new identity, while incorporating the strong regional imagery of Chattanooga's vast railroad history. The mascot "Scrappy" was born and a new emphasis was placed on the athletics department's role in the region."
