I think we'll win handily too but I'm curious why you think it'd be a bad sign if we don't
I mean, talk about a wild comparison. I would love more detail on how this game is remotely similar to that game beyond the neutral site and the teams wearing the same uniforms. Does NC State have any super seniors on the team from 2012? Lol.
It's NC State. They're an 8-4 ACC program and would be a 7-5 or 6-6 team in the SEC most years. They supposedly have a good defense. Well, Iowa did too and we saw what happened there. I just don't think they've necessarily taken a step since we played them in 2012. They were an 8-4 program then, too.

I just think if Tennessee is going to be capable of rolling into Norman and winning, let alone challenging Bama at Neyland, we should be able to beat NC State by more than 1 TD. Granted, we barely got past Pitt in 2022 and went on to beat Bama, but that was the beginning of Heupel's second season. This is year 4 with a veteran team outside of QB and secondary that should be able to handle business.

When we getting a depth chart
We could get one Tuesday OR Thursday 😅.

Depth charts don't mean what they used to. Which is to say they make it a point to give away nothing with the depth chart. Will be interesting to see how things shake out between Nico and Gaston for that starting QB battle.

The only thing I hope to promote is for more people to simply read fiction, if I can in any way inspire someone to not only read but to write, well that is a legacy, no matter how humble.

Great aspiration. I was an avid fiction reader as a kid and I could tell a difference between my vocabulary and ability to think quickly compared to my non-reading friends and associates. I also loved reading non-fiction history.

I can also see the difference in my non-reading son vs. my constantly reading daughter. Many, many more Americans need to read even if it's just a little.

Turn $20 into $250 by hitting the bet you studied and picked and then see how you feel.

Slots doesn't compare to sports betting, imo.

You should use a referral code and get $100 free and try to turn that into a couple k. That's pretty fun when it isn't your money.

I've been considering giving it a go. Used to do something similar with online poker referrals about 20 years ago. Where do you get the referral code?

Also, what are the requirements on withdrawing whatever your initial investment is in order to get the code?

Losing to them is unacceptable for sure. It is indeed NC State, but they have a lot of talent and experience.

It's not a game where we can trip over ourselves like we did at Pitt in 2022. McCall has been one of the more prolific QB's in the country for a while. Their RB had 1600 yards for Duke last year. Top WR was ACC rookie of the year, Rogers from OSU was a 5 star at WR, Justin Jolly from UConn...we couldn't cover him last year at TE. 4 starters from o-line back. Their secondary is really strong.

BUT their d-line is their weakness and that's probably the worst place to have your biggest weakness if you play us.

We just can't have a day where we are off, shoot ourselves in the foot with a bunch of penalties and have dumb turnovers. Otherwise we should eventually overwhelm them.

Folks –

I appreciate the suggestion that if Nick is going to be absent I be considered as an author for the weekly game thread in the recruiting forum but, no. I’m not the guy. Trust me. jmo.

I think there are a huge pool of candidates in this forum that I think would do an exemplary job. Here are some suggestions for your consideration. jmo.

I highly recommend Devo. He seems to me like a real smart guy so we’d have smart game threads, at least in the OP portion. The write-ups may not have the quality humor Nick would often slide in but maybe we just haven’t seen that side of Devo’s wit yet. I do think he would be a good candidate. Seriously. jmo.

Another possible choice would be Weezer. Weezer is rightly regarded as VolNation’s most beloved poster so it would seem that he would be an obvious choice. The major benefit with Weezer doing the game threads would I think be that every thread would be an adventure. I think that would generate tons of interest and the mods could remove any nudes. Family site, you know. jmo.

My third and final suggestion is Glitch. I know, I know. His first time out it didn’t go so well but think about it, he’s got experience now. Experience is the best teacher. He’s probably already better. Besides, I think he’d really like to have the opportunity. That counts tons. jmo.

I was going to suggest Doc but I’m not sure how it would work if the game thread wasn’t posted until a month after the game was actually played. The threads would be so full of spoilers, I mean, no mystery about the outcomes. I just can’t see how that could work. jmo.

I’m going to tell you the truth. Glitch would be my first choice. Why? Because with Glitch It’s probably always going to be fun. I believe that. I really do. Plus as an added benefit if we lose every game this year no one will have to ask why? jmo.

Now @Glitch and @Weezer won't be able to fit in the thread because they're heads are going to be too big
