That roof looks to be a 3/12 pitch or less. You cannot even use shingles on a roof that flat because they will leak. Its got to be metal or rolled roofing which is garbage. I have slept on roofs significantly steeper than that after eating lunch in fall and winter. You could ride a bicycle on that roof. Disgusting that schools literally invited them to do this. No wonder more parents are moving to homeschooling. I was borderline defending the SS yesterday to a degree, they're not doing themselves any favors with all this roof talk and LE stuff now.

What I can say is the SS on the ground appeared to do their job, they threw their body out there. Other than that, everything is suspect and to me starts to go in the direction of intentional disregard.

Everyone needs to see this photo to appreciate the tactical negligence that occurred during the assassination attempt on DJT. This photo was taken just minutes before the first shots were fired. DJT is oriented towards the shooter at this point.

Look in the upper left of this photo. That is the building.
Look how f---g close it was. Direct line of sight to DJT.

You can see my wife & I to the right of the SS agent in the front row.

There is no excuse to not have someone on that roof. None.

It amounts to the most stunning incompetence & negligence in a tactical situation that I have ever been a part of. Ever.
It’s simply incomprehensible to me how this happens.
The only thing that is more incomprehensible to me is how the Director of the Secret Service still has a job.

So far, I have not seen or heard of anything pointing to a political motive for this, at all. We'll know once the phone is cracked and the contents revealed, but every interview I've heard or read of anyone who knew him is that he was apolitical, just a loner kid bullied in school.

Would not surprise me if it turns out Crooks would have shot at Biden to get attention in a world that was otherwise ignoring him had it been a Biden campaign stop instead of Trump. This may change as time goes on, but so far I'm just not hearing anything that shows he went after Trump, in particular, much less why.

The fact he went to such lengths and actually fired at Trump shows "he went after Trump"......... We just don't know why..... Though I think that is all but a foregone conclusion at this point.

I'm interested in the high points from 500-1000 yds out with a clear line of sight.

Reports are that the shot was 130 yds with a 223. When I qualified with an M-16 (similar weapon, same caliber) without a scope and with a timer years ago... you pretty much had to hit all of your targets 150 yds or less to pass. My understanding is he had a scoped weapon. The chances of even a bad shooter missing that shot at that range with a scope is low. Some have said that Trump moved his head slightly at the time of the shot but I don't see it... and if he was aimed center mass then Trump isn't going to get out of the way in less than .1 seconds.

I'm doing hand loading for my 270. I did some shooting on Saturday with a range of powder charges looking for the best one. At 100 yds, all of my groups in a rifle not sighted in yet with any of the loads... would have fit within a 4" circle.

I find this whole story VERY fishy... even before you consider how he got there et al.
