Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

This guy would have been about 11 or 12 when Trump began first running for the Republican nomination. For almost half of his life there has been a nonstop flow of Trump is evil, Hitler, deplorable, a racist, a misogynist, anti-Semite, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, a threat to democracy and "must be stopped" (Pelosi quote from less than 2 weeks ago) and on and on and on. That likely had a huge effect on him and others. It was moral imperative to stop him using any means required.

This is the fruit of the left's demonetization of anyone not aligned with their beliefs.
I completely agree. My son is 17. He’ll miss voting in this election by just a few months. He is MUCH more liberal than either me or my husband or our extended families. I don’t mind at all him having his own opinions and forming his own beliefs- but I do believe a lot/ most of it stems from the vilification of Trump and all things conservative and republican. When you’re that young and you’ve heard this stuff for half of your life it’s hard not to believe it.

Not sure if this would 100% fix things, but having a complete reset of leadership (new politicians, new actors/producers in Hollywood, new media, new academic heads at our Universities) would probably help our society. Our leadership, across the board, is failing us.

Just reduce the power and size of the federal government to the point it has minimal impact on peoples lives. Having coastal elites dictating the way we live causes resentment.

That would help too and was the real intention. Your system failed with slavery and that is where you will lose debates. States "rights" were evaporated due to the Civil War and you can see the impact to this day. Non-White Americans are often (not always) hesitant about state rights because of that.

In the end, it does give people more power if the States are in control but the narrative of our past is hard to overcome.

Just imminently preoccupied with whether he was lying or embellishing the event?
I'm sure you have seen my posts where that was covered. I acknowledged that I should have included the possibility that Trump was honestly mistaken (if it was shards of glass that struck him).

Problem #1, they are not leaders, they are elected officials.
This is where our political system went off the rails.

Wow is all I can say.

Picture of purported glass shard as argued by @BowlBrother85. His argument is so credible he must always be believed.

Photo Appears to Capture Path of Bullet Used in Assassination Attempt

Michael Harrigan, a retired F.B.I. special agent, said the image captured by Doug Mills, a New York Times photographer, seems to show a bullet streaking past former President Donald J. Trump.

Donald Trump, in a red hat and a blue suit, speaks at a lectern. A red oval is drawn around what appears to be a bullet’s path.

Good point that I hadn’t thought of. The 11-12 year old brain is a very impressionable device.

So they took it down..shocker.

Just for those that didnt see it,the shooter said he hates Republucans and Trump, and that he didnt do it.

He said he didnt do it..what are we to take from that? Sarcasm, deflection, someone pushed me?

Edit..I was informed by the poster that this was debunked.

The key thing that they get a lot of young people with is the anti-Capitalist argument. Young people go to college, graduate, and then find it hard to get jobs because everything requires 5 years of experience, etc. (depending on profession).

I graduated law school almost 15 years ago and went through that turbulence when I was young. Never got radicalized but there was some sympathy there. I remember wondering where was the 1-year or entry level positions in my profession?

The economy is bad right now and we don't have entry level jobs. From what I grasp, dating is bad as well. The key is that everyone struggles in their 20s but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I changed professions and make attorney-level salary doing something different. I have family and child. Went through a lot to get there. Paid off over $ 100k in loans several years back. Young people are to caught up in the "hear and now" and that is where we should focus on giving them hope. I love to tell my story to try to give them hope.

Heck, I even used this overseas when I was in Liberia in Africa to point out the poverty of Tennessee in the 1920s and how we were able to overcome it and they could one day as well. USA wasn't always rich. This is why I RESPECT those that came before me and get very offended by people that crap on our past. They sacrificed so much to get us to where we are today. USA wasn't always wealthy or successful either.

Conservatives often fail to empathize with people. Their ideas are wrong but their problems are correct. Democrats are good at identifying these problems and providing answers that based on emotion for quick fixes that are really not true answers or fixes if you do your research hard on it.

This is now floating around with the sniper supposedly saying online he was told to stand down by the head of SS before eventually taking the shot.

And this would now explain the arrest yesterday.

LOL.

For about the 10th time now .... It's not my argument. I haven't made an argument. I have only posted links to sources who had spoken to law enforcement officials on the scene, who said that Trump was hit by shards of glass. I wasn't there. I don't know what him.

To be honest it looks like the video I posted was debunked and not the same guy. There's some posts on X about if

Other than politicians being “leaders” I do agree that our entire political system needs to be burnt to the ground and reset.
Tar and feather some of these elected officials and parade them around for the masses, imo.
