You do realize it could have, easily in fact, been glass that struck Trump and it be neither a lie or embellishment? Do you doubt he was struck by something as a result of a would be assassin's bullet? If you accept that as true why would a person in that position not assume it was in fact a bullet?

Yeah. None of this should have happened. Even if he got up on the roof, it was very apparent from interviews he was up there for quite a few minutes. They knew he was up there for the most part.
