Trump Assassination Attempt(s)

So what's the deal? The SS is extremely highly trained. Most of them are former rangers or SEALS. The SS on these sniper rifles are among the best marksmen on the planet. They do not hesitate in situations like that. Why did they hesitate this time? Were they ordered to hesitate for a moment?

Maybe someone was trying to confirm the threat and held shooting orders too long. When the sniper saw the unidentified shooter on the roof, I'm very surprised he didn't eliminate him instantly.

It does seem as though folks walking around had seen him and perhaps SS did as well and no one was 100 pct sure he didn't belong.

That's bad enough, but worse that Trump was not taken off the stage until the situation was clarified. That's seems like the bigger failure to me, assuming there was some communicating going on of "hey, who is that guy ?"

Didn’t say it did. I’m just saying Trump saying he felt a bullet doesn’t mean he knew that. Anyone hearing gun shots and then your ear hurting would make you assume. Not make it a fact in that moment. Again, huge trump supporter and believe it was a bullet.
It would seem to me Trump was told by the attending Physician the nature of his wond(s) as his comments were after initial treatment

I understand.

I disagree.

I'll skip over any future replies about it. No biggie.
You’re a good poster. And I’ll agree most agents did their job and did a great job at that. Saying it’s a failure of the secret service overall isn’t fair but someone failed badly in a service that really doesn’t accept failure. It’s not just a failure it’s very curious how that even happens. You have a snipers position that isn’t covered?

maybe, he was trying to confirm that it wasn't one of their people. The fact that they had no one on those two roof tops at that range is insane. Someone's butt will roll.
That would be my guess. They get a report from a person that saw a man with a rifle on a rooftop. I'm sure they have a checklist of procedures to verify it's accurate and not one of their own that the person saw before they take action.

The guy made it sound like he told the police 2-3 minutes before shots were fired. Maybe police blew it off at first thinking it was a SS agent the guy saw.

Some people appear to be disappointed that Trump is not dead.
If so, they're very much part of the sickness infecting this nation. Just as sad is some folks right here in this forum, seek to paint some of us with that brush. Despite posts showing we abhor this event. But humans gonna human, you know.

I'm guessing the sniper team uses really nice glass. Pretty sure a tee shirt and cargo shorts aren't standard issue fatigues.
How much time did he have between the observation of the shooter and the shooter shooting? I would need to know that before making judgement. Taking another life is never an easy decision.

You deserve an apology whether proven right on your conspiracy or not. My "shut your mouth" quip wasn't beneficial in any way. There was nothing redeeming, or witty, or helpful. It added zero value to the overall discussion or to our smaller discussion. You deserve better.
Please forgive me. We've posted many years and while not always agreement, there has always been appreciation.
Listen, you definitely don’t owe me an apology. I think we are all a little on edge with what just happened and more amped up than usual. These are scary and dangerous times, and we are all in this together.

I agree. We just don't know what was happening in the moment to leave what should be a open perch unprotected.
I am not saying everything was done correctly in this case, but it is true that they can do their job to perfection and an assassination attempt can get through.

That guy was crawling up the reverse side of the roof. Probably not visible till he reached the crown. Could have been a very short time between seeing the shooter and him shooting.
