The Germans, Japanese and Russians just didn't treat their enemies (combatants) like animals they treated the civilians just as bad. Hell, the Russians probably raped more eastern European women than the Germans did.

could we see a return to using animals in war time roles? We already use birds of prey to protect airfields from birds, some have been trained to take out drones too. seems like a very low tech way to handle drones; though relatively complicated.

I have been against every bit of money and arms we have given Ukraine. my stance from day 1 is that I would be fine selling Ukraine stuff, but that was it. again you are just making stuff up. Although the Gentlemen wars is mostly a myth (no war is necessarily Gentlemanly), the era where true respect was given was the 1700s timeframe and even that was mostly limited to European Powers engaging with each other. The reason these wars were calmer was that it was primarily fought by mercenary armies distant from towns.

This changed in the Napoleonic wars when Republican France introduced "levee in masse" or Conscription.

The U.S. isn't going to do **** but piss people off and get them killed. In the past diplomacy was used, especially when it was regional. All these insult on a daily basis serves no real purpose than to get innocent people killed.

I would say if the purpose is make the ukrainians go the way of the dinosaur, this makes sense, otherwise not so much. This isn't going to be won on twitter.

As I mentioned, I don't know how the Russians feel, but I would feel like I need to take them all out. Every single Ukrainian. No terms, no unconditional surrender. GTFO And that makes me sad.
