Someone asked "any idea who our 16seed will be" and VolGee said "Arizona or ECU" and I'm trying to understand why ECU would be a 16 seed

2 questions

Why were we the highest rank seed and still played as the away team 2 days in a row?

And why did the LSU coach get to coach today after getting ejected last night?

Question 1, I believe (I may be wrong, but this is how it works in the regionals) that the home team is whomever has played fewer games as a home team during the tournament.

Question 2, apparently the rules are different for head coaches. Any assistant or player ejected will miss at least the next game, but head coaches have different rules for whatever dumb reason. I don't know what the rule is -- this is just what was mentioned in the baseball forum during the game.

Why ECU?? They're a top 10 team.

Virginia, Arizona, and Oklahoma State were ranked outside the Top 15 as of May 19th.

Just like basketball, polls really don’t matter. They are 22 in the RPI and have 5 Q1 wins.
