During Covid DeSantis issued statewide edicts closing bars, restaurants, beaches and other public areas. Then he went on to issue edicts barring employers from making employment decisions, he took away decision making from local school districts and his war with Disney was idiotic. That's just a few.

Covid stuff absolutely, only like 1-2 governors didn't lock down that I recall. Country went ridiculously crazy over a cold nothing should have ever been locked down. DeSantis along with Kemp from Georgia were of the first to open things back up and DeSantis went on to admit that the lockdowns were wrong and he would never do them again which is something you never see from a politician. What decisions did he take away from schools? The Disney stuff was great and Disney conceded if I'm not mistake. More politicians need to stand up to evil corporations. Still not seeing where he "Isn't even close" to the best governor. His negatives are things damn near every governor did or currently does. He has positives that set him apart. I don't worship any politician, they're all crooked. If you're going to list the best governors he's up there.

Didn't say that. Of the first. One of the earlier ones. I believe Georgia stopped with the nonsense before Florida. There were all kinds of levels of lockdown, no one was truly forced to stay home or anything like that, all of which were tyrannical and never should have happened. Only a handful of governors didn't have any kind of closures. DeSantis is still not far off the top of the list......

One thing that should be taken away is just how few decent governors there actually are.

He's totaly focused on the right things. He's got those gays good.

He signed laws to ban abortion after 6 weeks, banned classroom instruction on sexual and gender identity in schools, carry concealed guns without a permit, and halted universities from using state or federal funds for DEI programs. Florida has moved from purple to red under his leadership with him even carrying Dade County in 2022. A large number of governors across the country could take note of his accomplishments to lead their states.

I don't care that De-Satan banned all that stuff. I care about his ability to live within a budget.

Anybody got year over year data on revenues and expenditures for Florida under the little man?
