2024 Presidential Race

So there's the rub. Who decides if the globally catastrophic order of a madman is a legal order....or not?

The general of the army, CNO or Commandant of the Marine Corps. Whoever receives the orders at that level, if they are wrong and it was a legal order they face a courts martial.

Face it, these checks and balances you cry about already are in place. You just want the used selectively depending on which party is in power.

Of course they are in place. And they were used. Trump's own appointees were installing additional contingencies because they knew he was dangerously insane.]

That should tell you what you need to know.

Wrong. They all ignored legal orders and should have been courts martialed. If found not guilty so be it.

You also ignored my question. Considering what a catastrophe the Afghan withdrawal was should our military leaders have ignored Biden’s orders?

But if he wins this year it will undoubtedly be because of cheating, right?
No, not at all .... I didn't accuse him of cheating when he won in 2016. He defeated Hillary Clinton in a free and fair election ...

However, is there any doubt that if Donald Trump loses again, he will claim that he was cheated (again). Isn't that what he always does when an election doesn't go exactly as he wanted it to?

If you are even capable of being honest with yourself, then you will admit that there isn't a scenario in which Donald Trump would ever admit that he lost a fair election. Trump will always play the victim card and claim that he was cheated. He is an egomaniac and a liar.

In '16 the gangster benefited immensely from a massive Russian disinformation campaign on social media and a massive disinformation campaign by Republicans with their totally political, totally bull$hit Benghazi investigation, and let's not forget the fake "email" investigation--which was obviously nothing. Both persuaded the rubes--and you don't need anything factual to con the Earls into believing nonsense---that Clinton was some horrible Medusa, which led to the election of a genuine monster. FACT. Clinton had spent most of her life in public service while the gangster has spent all of his life conning and bullying people. Clinton would have been a 100X better president. But in addition to the disinformation campaigns, she also faced a lot of the misogyny that's still prevalent in America. I just counted 133 women who've been either head of government or head of state around the world. We've had ZERO in the supposedly advanced United States. More proof that we're actually more backward than forward. Look at the all the Earl hatred directed at Harris. Ask the Earls why they hate Harris, and they have nothing to say. A few have claimed that she hasn't done anything as VP--as if they are unaware that VPs don't tend to do much--nature of the position.

Not sure that rises to the level of catastrophe, but it certainly highlights the need for that option.

That makes HRC's defeat back in 2016 even more embarrassing.

Cool. Now do 2020...

Even if Trump does win .... He will still claim that the election was rigged, if he loses the popular vote .... That is exactly what he did in 2016.
If Trump wins the election, but happens to lose a swing state in the process, Trump will claim that he was cheated in that state. That's just what Trump does. He plays the victim card constantly. Donald Trump is an incessant whiner and cry-baby. Trump has such an ego, that even when he wins, he still complains about being cheated. Trump loves the victim card.

Trump won a fair election in 2016. They were both weak candidates .... but Hillary Clinton was clearly worse, and ran a terrible campaign. She was often arrogant and entitled. Independent voters in swing states hated her ... suburban women resented her. She was a disaster.

Have you even looked into the polling bias I mentioned the other day? You keep wanting to talk about how everything is in the margin of error (which a lot of battleground states aren't) but don't talk the true numbers.

2016 was the worst polling ever. 2020 wasn't good either. Plenty of YT channels out there taking about it and you should look it up.

Because if they are correct, and there's no reason to think they aren't, these "battleground" states are locks for Trump. Right now at least.

If the Afghan withdrawal wasn’t a catastrophe WTH are you considering a Trump catastrophe?

His entire administration, dude. Start with him and his RAMPANT corruption (making big money off the presidency, hiring his kids for WH jobs for which they had zero qualifications--and even if they had been qualified, you don't hire your kids) and work your way through the embarrassing flunkies who filled his cabinet. Mike Pompeo was a complete embarrassment as Sec. of State. Two impeachments, abuse of power with the Ukraine episode, Jan. 6, Covid. The list is long. EVERYTHING. HIM.

All of that is worse than dozens of US soldiers needlessly killed by incompetent leadership?

I disagree. Disinformation played a big role in the election--fact. Clinton a worse candidate than the gangster? In what universe? Comical statement. She would have made a MASSIVELY better president--and that's the only pertinent question. But of course voters don't actually use reason much before voting.

He was a bad potus but none of those are catastrophic. The items you listed are not crazy for the wh. It seems his biggest flaw was to not let Hillary win.

LOL. I followed the 2022 mid-term polling data, and in almost every battleground state, they missed badly and were incorrectly in favor of Republican candidates. As Sean Hannity pointed out, they were within their margins of error ... and Republicans had been over-sampled.

Trump is anything but a lock in any battleground state. That is insane. However, once again, I am glad to see that the right-wing finally believes that polling data is reliable. Nobody posted more polling data on here in 2020 than I did. I was repeatedly assured by Trump supporters that the polls were wrong, just as they had been in 2016, and they would be wrong again .... There wasn't a single Trump voter on here who would even entertain the prospect that the polls were right and that he might lose. That's just how it was. i remember it well .... but now that the polls say what you want them to? They are trustworthy ... What a joke.
