He's Governor of California. Why should he give a damn what Alabama does?

No doubt that he is. I don't think it's any secret within the DNC that Biden won't be on the ticket and Newsom would give every Californians left nut to be nominated.

He is within the margin of error in almost every poll .... and it is anything but a given that he is going to be replaced. For anyone else to be the nominee of the Democratic Party, Biden would have to decline the nomination. There is not a process in which he can be "replaced" involuntarily.

Then one of two things...

1. He'll decline the nomination and "suggest" a replacement. Either Michelle Obama as Hog thinks or Gavin Newsom. He sure as hell isn't going to nominate Mamala Kamala. She will get trounced at the polls in the largest victory since Reagan 1984. Newsom or Obama give them a fighting chance. Of the two, Obama takes the election handily.

Or...

2. The Democrats feel confident enough in their ability to cheat their way into the White House again and he moves forward as the nominee. Even with MOE polling (which is dubious at best) Biden is losing ground fast. He's not inspiring, he has no message other than "I'm not Trump" which is not resonating with voters and he's losing the centrist vote fast due to his failed economy.

He won't make it another four years. Democrats also know Kamala isn't the future. If she takes over and continues this spiral into economic ruin, they will get hammered in the mid terms and in 2028.

The Real Clear Polling averages show Trump with an average lead of 1.5% .... which is about where it has been for a month now. Also, you should drop this notion that Michelle Obama has any interest in running for public office. She has dispelled that many times. She is not a politician. It is only far right Republicans who even bring her up. It's so stupid.

I do agree that Biden is uninspiring. I wish he would step aside .... but it's not happening, and there is no mechanism to force his hand on such a thing. There are ridiculous things which get posted here.

It wasn't a fair election. 2020 was rigged with massive institutions being levied against him. I don't buy it was stolen but I don't see how anyone can honestly argue against rigged.

The biggest problem here is the Democrats have lost their messaging. They are saying the same thing they said in 2016 about Trump...

"He's going to take away your rights!"

"He's going to be a dictator who refuses to give up the office!"

"He's going to get us into WWIII!"

"He's going to blah, blah, blah!"

Problem is, people have already lived through his Presidency and seen the fear mongering isn't true. Now, he did lose a percentage of the vote in 2020 because of Covid, but I still don't think he lost... another story, another time.

But trying to repeat the same playbook from 2016 isn't going to work this time. They can't legitimately ask the question "are you better off now than four years ago" without getting hammered for it. And they can't use the scare tactics either since people know what they are getting.

And their only recourse is cheating (again).

I want to add - once again - that there is not a scenario in which Donald Trump would ever admit that he lost a fair election. Due to his egotistical nature, Trump will always blame fraud for any such defeat .... and his Cult will buy it every single time he does it. You are gullible and ignorant.

I'll disagree on the stolen part. I do think an in depth audit would have uncovered significant irregularities.

That's a ridiculous argument ... and when Trump says that it was "rigged," he is obviously talking about votes having been changed from him to Biden. It wasn't rigged. An unpopular President lost a free and fair election.

There was in-depth audit performed by a partisan firm, called the "Cyber Ninjas" in Maricopa County, Arizona .... and it yielded a gain in votes for Biden. There were audits performed all over the country, in fact. There can be anomalies pointed to in every election, but they don't serve as proof of fraud. You are just wrong. The 2020 election is the most heavily scrutinized in American history.
