I’d like to have seen Behnke or Kirby against the lefty with 2 outs but Snead got a ground ball but Amick had to play in to defend a bunt and it hurt him and I have no idea how we let the second run score , the dude couldn’t even run

The most talented team rarely wins the CWS. The oldest, combined with most talented, does.

Kentucky is full of veterans.
They’re better built to win in Omaha than we are. They don’t rely on the homer all the time, which that park rarely gives you, and they don’t beat themselves. That’s the formula.

I said Sid Bream looked like Usain Bolt coming down the line compared to Burkes. He was at a light jog.

I am sick. For me that is easily the toughest loss of the season. It's so much easier to accept when you just get beat rather than feeling like you left runs out there.

Props to them. They've probably wrapped up the east after only 16 games.

I know Tony promised Billy he wouldn’t be DH in order for him to come here. I think he needs to be willing to break that promise for this team to maximize its potential. Dean and Ariel together just feels like too good a left side combo not to try at this point.

Are you suggesting Curley at 3b and Ariel at SS? I could see that, but I’m not sure trying something new in a Top 5 matchup on the road is the answer.

It wouldn’t really be new. We had to do some of that while Billy was out anyway.

Nope.

We had the lead for 1/2 an inning (the first) vs Auburn if that’s the game you’re referring to. This is only our 3rd road series and we blasted Bama game 1 so Auburn is the only Friday left.
Sorry I was thinking that Sunday game against Bama was the Friday one, but still similar situation
