Probably be in for an awakening. You can say how you want your team to play fast pace, but man does the SEC now make teams play some ugly basketball.

I hope she doesn’t make the same mistake Kellie made. Kellie brought her mid-major assistants with her and had to fire them in like year two. She only brought on P5 assistants in year two/three. She is in the big pool now needs big girl assistants.
I am not 100% on years so take with grain of salt. Someone on here will know absolutely and will correct😆

They have athletes that can break presses and be shooting layups all day if you don't have comparable talent. I am beginning to think some of our current players may find her system a little to demanding. Guess we'll know in a couple of days. She appears to be very intense as a coach have to be on your toes for 40 minutes some players can't handle that especially after playing for Kellie. Your going to need to put out effort like you never have before so will be interesting who decides to leave after the one on one talks.

Agree - doesn't fit the high profile best of the best players who expect to be the focal point of a team.

Just from the look on Jewell's face she might be looking for a new home. She has already said the return was based on Kellie. Starting to get a little nervous about players. No one wants to play 90 seconds and out and back in 90 that is something if true is not very player friendly.

yes, she didn’t seem too confident in staying. if we lose her, well i’d rather not even think about it.

Offensively seeing what Caitlin Clark did. Your offense is similar. Shooting 3s. The full court press is gonna be a workout. But the offense alone will attract young talent that wants to shoot the basketball.

She’s gotta think about the fact that she’s stated she wants to go pro. It will make me very sad, but I also will fully understand her choosing to go somewhere that might better prepare her for that.

Clark plays 40 minutes almost every game and most of the others also think they used two subs. Just need to see what this is all about for sure and how she runs a roster. I am now expecting some players to hit the portal JMO.

100%. if CKC does not give her the confidence that this team will succeed, she has every right to leave and find a team that will. it’s sad, but she has big ambitions and she knows what she wants. I will support JS wherever she goes.

And the truth is, in many ways, these players know more about P5 and SEC play than CKC. It might be telling to see how this plays out.
