I’ll be honest, I thought Texas would be the toughest game of this bracket.

We may still lose to someone else, but we always play tight against Rick’s old school and this year it was an old assistant as the head coach.

Kinda like Fulmer against Spurrier, throw out rankings it is gonna be a dog fight no matter what.

I thought we played tight the whole game and expected it. Texas did too. My fingernails are essentially gone.

Umps in college and MLB are the biggest little b*****s. They all have little man syndrome, and I have no idea how they don’t get fired. I wish all the coaches could call them out without repercussions. Or at least make the umps answer questions for the public to see. Zero accountability on their end.

Just got home from work at Lowe’s loading about 1200 bags of mulch and other ****. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m a little encouraged that we were able to win without DK having his typical game. However, the deeper we go, the more Barnes has to game plan to make sure DK gets more open shots. Teams are clearly guarding him close and hard and begging Santi, JJJ, etc to beat them.

Me and my wife met a couple at a bar earlier.

Cool couple....but they were Bama fans. The woman we both liked, was from Tuscaloosa, the man...born and raised in Hendersonville...still an Alabama fan.

Had a wonderful time with them.

But it's been on my mind as I lay me down to sleep.

I really don't like or respect that man's decision and his lifestyle choices. I never asked why he likes them...but I think I already know he lacks integrity as a person.

Perfectly fine "Tennessean" and all....except for that script A rotting in his soul.

He even complained about someone stealing his Bama flag and pole off his boat.

Well...sometimes you get what you deserve

I never would have imagined in 2003 that I wanted to be a Baylor fan. One of their basketball players had just murdered another, and their football team sucked balls

But I met a girl. And she had graduated from Baylor

I cheered like hell in their crappy football stadium when they got spanked 45-0 by Texas

And then I got to see RGIII and Scott Drew's basketball national championship

I’m too juiced to sleep. Man it feels good to keep playing in March. Now what did you redneks do to the baseball team?

This will be an unpopular statement. Oh well.

Voltello has been the best thing to ever happen to the Vol baseball program. One of his strengths has always been the sixth sense he has about pitcher usage. That has been missing in two of the team's losses - the third game at Bama and last night. He let two guys with some talent that were out of gas to come out to pitch at the end. In the Bama loss he used Russell as the starter for only two innings who had only given up one run. If the guy was innings limited, do not use him as a starter. He then left Snead in too long, who pitched over 5 innings in relief.

In both games the rest of the guys had battled back to take the lead only to have poor decisions and pitching to lose it. In both games Snead and last night, Russell, were clearly used up and being tagged. It was obvious they needed to bring in new relievers to give the other hitters a different look. His infatuation with using Combs and Stamos in key situations is also frustrating.

Pitching and pitcher usage is obviously a work in progress. It is not something to be overly concerned about yet. Hopefully our pitching will improve over time and Tony's good sense about the selection and hook returns. If it doesn't this is going to be a roller coaster season.

They don’t foul much at all, because they aren’t playing much defense. They just hit their shots and watch teams shoot it seems.

Giving up almost 7 more attempts per game to opponents than they take themselves.

We should have a lot more space than Texas gave, game will come down to if we can hit our shots.

Hopefully Knecht goes off for 40, and maybe Santi can find a little groove.
