I’m sure he would love to have several players like DK…. He is one of the top 3 players in Tennessee history….. He might even want a Bernard King, Alan Houston or get a little crazy and want Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, or Magic Johnson.I think he would love to have more guys like Knecht...offensive guys that aren't lazy pieces ofand want to learn how to be a complete player...sadly there does not seem to be hardly any of those.
I hope more kids see what Knecht has accomplished here and follow in his steps...I really believe that if we had just 2-3 excellent(not merely good, but consistently dangerous)offensive players to go with a typical RB defense, that we would win a NC.
But it will always be the flaw in a RB program because those kids want to go somewhere they don't have to work so hard on something they don’t think matters that much.
@GlitchThey keep getting soooo close to coming all the way back and just blew it every time
To put it simplyNo. UF and Auburn lost heart breakers they could have won.
But you just can't underestimate some of these mid majors. They play some unorthodox styles, usually put a premium on shooting 3's... And come in to a lot of these early round games with a nothing to lose mentality.
That kid from Oakland... How many times has that kid thrown up the type of shots he was, and made pretty much all of them?
Styles create fights. And that's what you can get in March. And if you, the big power 5 favorite, have anything close to an off night... You can lose.
Wisconsin lost. Kansas blew a big double digit lead and had it not been for a terrible foul call on that block, they definitely could have lost. Duquesne beat BYU, who by many's account was gonna be one of the toughest outs in the tournament because of how well they shoot.
The SEC got a black eye in round one.
But I'd say it's more related to s**t happens in March than I would it being the sec is overrated.
