Not that this makes complete sense, but it's what Sally said:
The 11 seeds play in the First Four because the last four at-large teams to make it into the tournament are still seeded a couple dozen places higher on average than the lowest automatic bids. The 11-seeds are the Last Four In, or the last four at-large teams that did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament by winning their conference tournament.
The committee has three steps for filling out the bracket: Select the 36 at-large teams, Seed every team 1-68, and Place those teams in the bracket.
Once the 68 teams are seeded, the bottom four teams (Seeds 65-68 overall) get placed in. The two teams that win their First Four matchups move onto the first round as 16 seeds.
Play-in games are games played at the beginning of a tournament or just prior to the tournament where the lowest qualifiers and/or participants who have earned conditional qualification compete for qualification to the main portion of the tournament.
It's hard to believe we have the 5th longest active NCAAT streakNot seen this stat on here yet..from the statistics crewmaybe they can dispute it

Takes like this are dumb specifically for the second paragraph. Do I want a title? Absolutely! Do I think this team has what it needs to go Elite 8 or even Final 4? Sure do! Do I foresee them losing the second round to Texas? Sadly, yes. Does that mean Barnes should be fired? Hell. No. Leonard here needs to sit down and shut up.Not seen this stat on here yet..from the statistics crewmaybe they can dispute it
