Lol. 2 games represents 4% of the season. It's trending down. Paint whatever picture you like but the trend is down. Someone will be right. I like my chances. I do hope I'm wrong though.

kind of a counter-intuitive argument. You are simultaneously painting the picture you like/want but only using those same 2 games as perspective.

It's rational to be concerned based on recency bias. Momentum and such. But there's also no evidence to say they won't return to normal by the second game. No evidence that it's a bug rather than a temporary feature from exhaustion.

Get-right game against a 15-seed. Flex the muscles against the 7/10 winner. Then we are playing the Sweet 16 feeling more comfortable, no?

Grew up in Raleigh so I’m happy to see NC State take down UNC tonight. I have a lot of friends celebrating tonight.

As for the UNC friends I have.. they may have received a little “aw shucks, sorry man” text while I was also laughing a bit and pressing send. They sent the same to me on Friday. What goes around..

Here's the thing though, UNC REALLY wanted that ACC title. Fans and donors have been critical of Coach Davis since he was hired (you can guess why) despite all of his success. They've yet to win an ACC tourney title under him. They really wanted it. Personally, I hope it stings them and I hope it affects them in the tournament.

Maybe they will fire Davis and hire Steakhouse

Everything is football's fault, you see. And to a lesser extent men's basketball. The university (not donors) doesn't give the LVs any NIL, you see. They have "Boost Her" because Spyre doesn't give them any NIL, you see. They raked their best player over Texas and LSU in the portal with no NIL, you see. But no LV fan should give to NIL (how dare anyone suggest it!) because that's football's job to pay for everything, you see. The LVs don't have a good coach because Fulmer was a football AD and didn't care about women's basketball, you see. Also their coach is absolutely awesome and anyone who says different is hater of the LVs and women's athletics, and their negativity is the reason she can't recruit. But she does great in the portal with no NIL, so don't say she can't recruit. Pat would be livid and ashamed of all that blaming and overt hostility and dishonesty toward other UT teams. The absolute opposite of Pat's roll.

you post well most of the time but this is - I know folks who donate to the Booster Her club and I was at the SEC Women’s basketball tournament - none of your nonesense did I hear and I spoke to many, including a woman who played for Joan Cronan. Just stop.

They wore out...I was concerned about it being a possibility with that stretch...they gave it everything they had and I think it took a little out of them...they peaked a couple of weeks too early.

Hopefully they can reset and get it back...that is a hard thing to do.

Probably why they checked out early in the SEC championship. I’ve always been a sunshine pusher type of fan, they were gassed and need to save their selves for the dance. .

The narrative was established going into conference championship week that either Tennessee or UNC would be the last one seed based on who played best in its conference tournament. Not saying that is right or fair, but we had our chance and, in true Big Orange fashion, laid an egg.
