Recruiting Football Talk VII

I’ve seen two opinions predominate this discussion among “bracketology” pundits:

1. It’s really close, so NC should get the nod over TN due to head-to-head.

2. It’s close, but not as close as NC fans would like to think. ACC isn’t strong enough this year.

I lean towards #2 (obviously). We have better wins and they have worse losses.

The opinion I haven’t seen is: “It’s close, but NC has the edge purely on resume.” That’s telling, IMO.
Supposedly conference tournaments don’t matter as far as seeding goes. At least that’s what we were told the year we won the sec tournament and still remained a three seed.

I ran that past my wife, who, is a nurse. I said, "Do I really have to go through all that colonoscopy business? Couldn't I just do that thing where you Shat in box and mail it in?" I got a long and angry dissertation on the deficiencies of the crap in the box thing, my family history and don't you want to be here for your grandchildren.
Short answer no.
No family history of any type of cancer shows the Cologuard box is okay according to my physician.

Different rules for different situations.

Now if we're talking about heart attacks then I'm screwed.

This is basically what Jack Nardelli did with Home Depot years ago. "We need to Centralize and lower employee counts at the stores". Plan failed bigly and they paid him over 200 million bux to go away.
That's what almost every new leader in business does. Whatever they were doing before, do the opposite. If it works (or better said, if the market is favorable and results would be good no matter what), they get celebrated. If it doesn't work, they get paid to go away.

Man, I think I hear what you are saying

I know I am blessed. And I know my dad was not a dumbass just because he grew up on a farm in Athens, TN and took dumps in an outhouse until he was 18

If I understand your point, it was that privilege and connection yields more privilege and connection

I cannot agree more
Have many well educated friends. Some at Vandy, some Duke, some Wake.

Yes, it absolutely does.

They definitely just made that up that year 🙄

Everyone else is allowed to play their way into a better seed or the tournament.

That was the most egregious BS I can remember, in regards to the committee's decision making.

I dont know what to tell ya OC,

I may be completely off the rails with my opinion. I may not be. Really doesnt matter.

Dont have time or energy to argue, or explain my position in any greater detail.
