SC did the same. But we had the fire in our belly. Honestly this is a great game to lose. Woiuld love to see this team win the SEC Tourney. Will be the toughest tourney in decades.

Still think conference tourneys are a waste o' time.

There's literally nothing good to come from deciding to foul on an impossible shot. It's just inane.

This isn't the NBA...with a head-on 45 or whatever foot half-court shot vs Steph Curry. It's a ~60-70 footer with a college girl on the run in a frenzy. Just let'er air ball it 😑😑😑

I WOULD HAVE! I’ve said that three times!

But you are way overestimating the percentages of us losing if we defended the inbounds just competently. Not even close to 10%.

With about 5 minutes or less to go, KY had Sheppard, Reeves, and Dillingham in the game. I just kept thinking "who do we guard?"



*We have DK and sometimes Aidoo, ZZ, and to a much lesser extent Gainey. The "sometimes" is the key word that scares me come tournament time.

I would take my chances throwing it in from half court with 1.1 seconds everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. All they had to do was guard. If I were coaching, I'd have won that game 10 out of 10 times. That foul disrupted them.

It really is crazy how the media sets narratives. Have any of them ever said that Purdue is “fools gold” with Edey? Most times that Purdue needs a bucket, their first option is to look at Edey on the block. Of course they haven’t said that. Yet, here we are with our team.

Also, Davis said he had talked to some other SEC coaches and then proceeds to make that statement. What SEC coaches are knocking Dalton Knecht after we’ve beaten 13 of the 14 teams?

No, her plan was to get a wide open shot, and let the chips fall where they may.

Sometimes, good coaching is just putting your trust in your players and saying make a play.

Imo, the fools gold comment comes from how Jekyll and Hyde the pieces around DK are.... Aidoo, Zig, and DK kinda carry this team, everyone else is super inconsistent.

Joe is banking on the committee putting Zona in over us just because of their being a west coast team.

If the committee does that, then they are lying about how much they value superior resumes. I don't even think Zona fans would argue their resume is even close to ours.

Their quad 1 is slightly better, but they must be playing teams at the very bottom of the quad 1s because they've only played 4 ranked teams all year.

Vols shoot one of worst percentages of any game all year.
Kentucky shoots lights out.
Refs miss KY player out of bounds that costs us 2 points, plus phantom foul on JJJ which cost us 3 points.
We lose by 4 points.
We had already locked up regular season.
I am not worried.
Get some rest and win out the rest of the season.
