2024 Presidential Race

Bill Clinton was 'secret weapon' behind Joe Manchin and Larry Hogan's decisions to NOT run on a third party No Labels ticket by convincing them it would hand Donald Trump a victory in 2024

Both moderate Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin and Republican Gov. Larry Hogan have said that they won't run on a third-party 'No Labels' ticket and behind-the-scenes it was former President Bill Clinton who was pushing them not to do so.

New York Magazine reported Monday on the role Clinton played persuading the influential moderates to stand down.

In June while Hogan, the former Maryland governor, was appearing alongside the ex-Democratic president at an event in Little Rock, Arkansas, Clinton gave him a talking-to before they walked onstage.

Any independent presidential bid would only benefit former Republican President Donald Trump, Clinton said.

Two months later when Manchin was vacationing near the Clintons in East Hampton, the former president delivered the same message to the outgoing West Virginia senator.

Not sure how the Right flip flops on this issue. Don’t want to sidetrack into an abortion debate, but if you understand where the Right is coming from on this issue, they’re actually consistent.
The Right comes out guns blazin for bodily autonomy when it’s about a jab against someone’s will (for good reason).

The second it’s about a pregnant woman and her bodily autonomy, the Right takes a hard left and flips to - No… we should probably let the State decide here.

Again, there’s a reason why it’s different with a pregnant woman. There’s another person’s bodily autonomy at stake. If you understand that’s the starting point, then it’s not flip flopping. They’re saying that the bodily autonomy of the unborn outweigh the bodily autonomy of the pregnant mother. You can disagree with the entire premise, but if you acknowledge that’s the starting point for pro-lifers, then it’s not flip flopping.

Absolutely. Maybe make it a part of your daily affirmations.

PS.....I'm personally glad women can vote. Isn't it amazing in hindsight that it was a divisive issue for so long?

Oftentimes it seems that stupid dies hard.
To be fair, I’ve seen someone on this site seem pretty mixed on the issue.

The bodily autonomy of grandma outweighs the bodily autonomy of those unwilling to be jabbed.

See how easy it is to toss bodily autonomy to the side when it doesn’t suit you?

Donald Trump Wins North Dakota Republican Presidential Caucuses

Former President Donald Trump has won the North Dakota presidential caucuses, sending him closer to the Republican nomination.

Trump won the state handily, according to the Associated Press, which called the race around 9:20 EST. He also won all 29 of the state’s delegates, taking his total to 276 nationwide, compared to former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s 43 delegates.

you cant have states rights with a national election..just how would that work? It wouldnt at all.

Haley’s presidential campaign has been nothing short of a wishlist for the old guard of the Republican Party that flies in direct contrast to the new GOP. Middle America does not want to send their boys to fight in another endless war in the desert, where death is inevitable. Parents are disgusted with the state of the U.S. education system, which acts as an indoctrination camp for far-left policies. Working-class Americans can not only see but feel how illegal immigration puts their families at risk, lowers their wages, and makes them compete for jobs that are rightfully theirs. (ROOKE: Biden’s Border Crisis Exposed America’s Dirty Foreign Agent Secret)

Trump captures the angst of everyday Americans in the way the Democrats used to do, while Haley campaigns like a Reagan-era Republican devoid of this insight. He stands up for these people, tells them it’s okay to recognize how these policies affect them, and promises to right the wayward ship once he’s back in office.

DAVID KRAYDEN: Nikki Haley Is The New Liz Cheney

1709612761506.png

Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy both famously and infamously declared Nikki Haley to be “Dick Cheney in three-inch heels.” But Ramaswamy dropped out of the nomination race while former U.N. ambassador and mouthpiece for the Military Industrial Complex Haley is still in there pitching.

But her game is not about winning but about making victory for former President Donald Trump as agonizing, painful and embarrassing as possible.

Dick Cheney? Hell, Haley is another LIz Cheney – a RINO obsessed with taking down Trump and advancing the gilded but bloodied racket of the defense contractors who are committed to committing you and the United States to any foreign war anytime as long as they provide the munitions. The problem remains that ultimately, Americans will be providing their children, their husbands, their sons, their mothers and daughters to those foreign wars and they will be coming back in body bags or as wounded warriors who become homeless veterans.
