If the party wanted something different they would vote for it in the primary. Clearly they don’t. How many has Biden lost thus far?

I hope not. I didn’t think Donald Trump would be the nominee again but I don’t want some cabal of people running a coup for the candidate of their choosing. No thanks. I’d rather the people get what they vote for.

The party doesn't vote, members of the party vote.
What exactly is the point you are attempting to make?
I'll state mine clearly......the majority of dems would prefer to have Biden replaced and I hope and believe he will be.

The problem is who? For it to work, you would need Biden to willingly (or at least pretend it’s willingly) step down and need a candidate to take place that the entire party could rally around. I don’t think that’s Newsom.

The recent news I found is saying almost half Ds want him replaced. The news supporting your "majority" was in autumn of 2023.
So, like a lot of things, it depends on what one chooses to believe.

I'm actually saying the recent news is almost half. If you're pedantic and say majority is at 50.5%, the anything at 50% or below isnt the majority.
It was 70%, clear majority, late 2023.

So if it was 70% four months ago and is "almost half" now.
What could possibly explain that shift.
Biden's performance improved so much that 20+% changed their mind?
Or maybe, even though they would prefer someone else, they will support Biden if he is the candidate?
