If I should go missing, this is the story in advance. Also a reminder of how things go in circles. I keep having to get the wife off the bottom of the tub when she takes a shower. Same thing every time. She sits on a stool and then flops backwards, the stool slides out, and she's stuck. It's a left handed tub, so I have to prop her up with my left arm ... and not all rotator cuff repairs were created equally, so it hurts keeping her from flopping backwards. It's also a pain clearing all the lotions and potions off the other side of the tub so I have a place to plant a foot to pull her up. My solution "I'm getting in the shower with you from now on." Some of you who have been married for a while will understand.
Some of us are already doing better. We don't use X (Twitter) at all.I know this is the OT thread so I will stay in a non political lane.
We're gonna have to do something about the number of X (twitter) posts. Like maybe limit folks to a handful per day. A lot of them are simply to poke people for a negative response. People aren't sharing their ideas...they are sharing the ideas of others who, according to their tweet analytics, are only reaching a few hundred people. I am more interested in understanding the ideas of other posters and how they think than trying to make sense of what their posting from X. I don't really care what the blathering, unsupported minority (by numbers not by social metrics) is tweeting.
Admittedly, some of the tweets shared are thought provoking, interesting, explanatory, and even humorous. But that's a small percentage compared to the total count.
Not singling any single poster out. Just asking if we can do better as a group.
End rant.
dinosaur??
There's cake??Na - that ain't it.
Carter's policies were far superior to Reagan's and look how they were viewed by the public, especially in the short term.
Reagan was and forever will be the Founding Father of deficit spending - both federal and personal.
If you ever want to see what it looks like to sell out the long term for short term popularity, look no further than Reagan.
The public can be idiots.
Talk about your biases and lack of critical thinking - you guys take the cake.
